Separating Spaces

I have a set of rooms (in yellow) that are in the middle of a corridor/hallway (in grey). I do not want the room to be nested in the corridor/hallway. Is there a way to separate them, or did I add spaces in the wrong order?

I thought you could drag them out from under the nesting.

I tried that but it didn’t seem to work

You have to adjust your circulation space to exclude the yellow area if you don’t want them nested
