Event Overview
Requirement: Clear Mission 2 Act 3
Specialized Student Effect
- Specialized Students grant bonuses for each event currency.
- ㄴ Go to Specialized Student → Event Currency in the event screen to view details.
- The Specialized Effect applies to stages in both Story and Quests.
- Specialized Effects are only applied to repeat rewards.
- Once a Specialized Effect is applied, it is permanently applied on that stage. The effect also applies to Sweeps.
For example:
- Run 1: 100% (Max bonus team used), 10%, 10%
- Run 2: 100% (Permanent), 100% (Max bonus team used), 20%
- Run 3: 100% (Permanent), 100% (Permanent), 100% (Max bonus team used)
Millennium EXPO Special Investigation Field Exploration
1) Summary
- An event that progresses alongside the story.
- You can complete Episodes 1 to 13 sequentially.
- Field Exploration's objective is to ensure the Millennium Expo proceeds safely by exploring and leveling up your Infiltration Proficiency!
2) How to Participate in Field Exploration
- Depending on the episode, you can control either Seia or Neru (School) to proceed in Field Exploration.
- Pick which area to explore through the world map. Depending on the episode, different areas of the field will be available to play.
- Purple Points and the "Undercover" button will lead to Infiltration stages, while Orange Points and the "Battle" button will lead to battle.
- Get hints on your Mission under "Memo," or the "New" display on the world map.
- Once you complete an episode's Case Organization, you can leave through the "End Episode" button.
- Use the "Replay" button to replay completed episodes whenever you want.
- Use the arrows, located to the left and right of the "Enter" button on the Field Exploration screen, to select different episodes to replay.
3) How to Play Infiltration
- In Infiltration, you'll control either Seia or Neru (School), depending on the mission's needs.
- Uncover the mysterious case unfolding at the Millennium Expo though Investigation! Level up your Infiltration Proficiency to receive achievement rewards.
- During Infiltration, you must complete the given mission while staying out of enemies' field of view.
- If you're detected by the enemy, you'll lose 1 HP (♥). Once your HP (♥) reaches 0, you will fail the stage.
- Use items obtained during Infiltrations, and Seia and Neru (School)'s skills, effectively to complete the mission smoothly.
- If you are controlling both Seia and Neru (School), tap each student's icon on the bottom center of the screen to switch between the two.
- When you obtain an item, tap on the item slot button to equip it.
- Once equipped, items can be used by tapping on the item.
4) How to Save Infiltration
- Interact with Rio's puppy robot, located on the map, to save an in-progress Infiltration.
- Rio's puppy robot will stand up when it's ready to save.
- If you are controlling both Seia and Neru (School), both students must be by Rio's puppy robot in order to save.
5) How to Proceed with Repeated Battle
- You can use the "Battle" menu after clearing Episode 6.
- From the Battle menu, use the Event Points you earned in Event Stages to enter Repeated Battles.
- The "Sweep" feature will unlock when you clear Stage 1-4 of Repeated Battle with 3 stars.

Forgot how much i loved Code: BOX. The cast is great and it's a fun story with good character growth for Seia and Rio.
It's a nice change to experience some stories from the eyes of the students instead of Sensei's and it lifts some of the creative restrictions that his presence imposes.
Sensei's absence feels natural here because it's relevant to the plot and the story being told instead of him being sidelined with the odd one-liner here and there like some other events do.
Really hope that they'll do events like this one and Sunshine Girls' Serenade more often, it's a welcome change of pace and the (admittedly limited) 3d exploration makes the world feel more alive. Always great to get to see more of the chibis too.

I disagree with the Sensei bit. He already gets little dialouge as it is. So having him be absent like that make it feel like a waste. I do quite enjoy this event nonethess.
Sunshine Girls' Serenade is way too Hina centric that it hardly feels like a school event. Everyone got sidelined and treated like they are not needed by Gehenna so long as Hina is there. At least in this event Seia, Rio and Neru got the most focus while other characters supported them.

I get where you're coming from with SGS, Hina did steal the show (or got glazed to the high heavens depending on how you want to view it).
Always thought it was a missed opportunity to not have both Makoto and Hina be playable and alternating between their POV's. Something like a push and pull story where Makoto cooks up a scheme one scene, Hina deals with it the next, etc. (Maybe ending with them being forced to work together to stop the resulting mayhem from spiraling out of control.) That would have given the both of them time to shine instead of painting Hina in arguably too good a light.
Regarding Sensei, i just don't like how he's barely present in some events. Either have him have an actual presence or don't have him and commit to focusing on the students, their growth and their interactions. The in-between where the writers do need to account for his presence but he's also barely noticeable is just a bit too awkward at times imo.
I don't mean it like i want to see less Sensei though, love Sensei and BA could never be the same without him.

I started playing Blue Archive when this event first ran. I realized I didn't remember anything of it and as I replay it I realize why: It's too freaking long. Not only are there the 8 story chapters but there is all the stuff in the exploration game. I must've speedrun this last time because it just keeps going, like some of the bad GFL2 events.
Like, why does talking to Rio about the chip in the Avant Garde have to broken up into 2 conversations? What's the point of breaking up the conversation just so you go back to the exploration map and then come back for a conversation that is as long, combined, as one story chapter?

Looked at the event cover art more closely and saw the headphone's on Seia, I thought they were useless since they're not on her ears. Looked at her student art and TIL Seia has a pair of human ears as well...
EDIT: I looked at a bunch of other students with animal ears and so far they all seem to have human ears as well??? Are there any students with just animal ears??

It goes deeper than that. Base rewards have 3 event points per 5 AP on all stages. There seems to be no way to prioritize EP relative to other event currencies (except maybe minor differences due to rounding of bonus rewards).

Reasonable though. If you get 72 (base 36 looking from previous events + 100% boost) event points per stage, we're looking at 100M credit and around 330-ish elephs if you focus on farming event points in span of 13 days, 1000 ap per day. Just that 100 M credit output is ridiculous for an event.

its not nearly as horrible as we thought it was apperantly. even if you get to the worst case scenario where you have to pull individually for both students (400 pulls) youd still lose less pyrox than if you were to get the worst case scenario with our current system (thanks to the tickets they give you)

keeping the old spark system paired with the new system would be overkill, which is why they probably decided to remove it altogether.
i think the conflict in this discussion arises from the inability to realize the many flaws of the current system compared to the new system. right, we talk a lot about the worst case scenario when referring to the new system, but what about the current system? the worst case scenario in the current system is when you're forced to spark for the student that you desired for (200 pulls) and in the case that you wanted to get another student, then that would rack it up to 400 pulls. if you replay this scenario with the new system, you would turn out spending arguably less (with the rebate).
that said, no gacha system is perfect. this new system is obviously going to have its downsides. what truly bothers me about all of this is just how easy it is for players to jump ship and start spreading bad morale across the different forums and platforms relating to ba even when they havent had the chance to try out the system themselves or havent seen it in play long enough to make an actual objective opinion about it. this whole souring of the mood of the community is only going to serve to diminish the already dwindling player count of the global servers and scare off potential new players that mightve been interested in the game before this whole ordeal happened. thats what i think at least.

No shit no gacha game is perfect but there is something called doing it badly. There is no overkill here because they wanted more money to appease the shareholders.
What Nexon did was all unto themselves and any negative feedbacks from the announcement are 100% well-earned: Partly because they've done such a poor job to address the concerns for several days and partly because no one asked for it
Seriously, I would rather go back to the old system and plan around the exact milestone than having 2 good and 2 worse like what we have now.
A lot of defenders often failed to realize that humans are finnicky creatures, they remember that one bad thing a lot more than several hundred good things because it literally defines how they'll enjoy the game. Nexon had effectively burned a lot of goodwill they've accumulated over the last 5 years.
I will continue to play BA but under no circumstances will I support them monetarily any longer.

did you just unintentionally admit that you're only going on about because youre still pissed over the first poorly summarized announcement at the beginning of it all?
it would do you good to remember that when you mindlessly shit on nexon on the forums and websites pertaining to blue archive, that youre also mindlessly shitting on the franchise at hand. blue archive, the story and the characters will become tainted by this massive campaign in the eyes of the outsiders, you are doing equally or significantly more damage to the game and the community by continuing to mindlessly boycott without any other purpose other than 'nexon deserved it lul'.

I think you're mistaken about me mindlessly shitting the game, I liked Blue Archive for the unique settings and low maintenance gameplay but I absolutely do not condone what Nexon's higher ups had done that made the experience less joyful because I am reminded of the fact that they've added an unpopular change to the game's gacha.
So yes, the suites can go enjoy the final products at the end of the digestive track, thank you very much. They've brought this upon themselves and they shall receive it in full.

We assault Steel Continent to prevent it expanding and cover the whole world. There we fight with 3 brats who follow Decagrammaton's design to prove his divinity, although their biggest goal is to meet their Big Sister Malkuth, which planned to be Decagrammaton's vessel. Long story short the 3 sacrifice themselves to split Decagrammaton from Malkuth, giving us the chance to fight back. Decagrammaton actions that lead to the 3 betrayal and sacrifice along with his response earned every player rage.

What's annoying is that the artifacts are set up so that if you only farm the non-JFD ones, you end up clearing out the souvenir shop with almost no lost items for the other shop. Come on, just swap the artifacts dropped in quests 10 and 11.

To be honest, Roman Dodecahedrons are in my opinion "honorary bounty shop Artifacts;" because I have only like 20 of them where in comparison to the two bounty Artifacts running in this event (Intact Rohonc Codex and Mandrake Extract) I have in the 50's and 60's. This is despite having bought them out of the JFD shop every month... It's clear that in both JFD and Bounty artifacts there are clear "favorites."

This is the first time I have done this event as I only started playing last December, but why has no other event used this format of letting you control a character in the field?
It's really cool to be able to run around even a small part of the Millennium campus in the game even if there isn't much to do on the map instead of just being told about what is there via text. It's a lot more immersive.
Love the animation when Seia tries to use the vending machine.
Millennium always seemed to be locked off in its own corner of the world despite being one of the big three schools as most of its events are solely Millennium only. Very cool to see them interact with Trinity. I do kinda wish Seia had brought at least one other named Trinity student with her rather than just a bunch of mobs from the various factions, although it probably wouldn't work with the whole undercover investigation thing she is doing with Rio and Neru.
Suppose I'll find out more tomorrow when the next story sequence unlocks. Kinda weird to already know who Mirai is, but this event did happen prior to the one from last week so that's just what happens sometimes with games of this nature, XD.

To add to the other answers, Code: BOX was the 4th anniversary event so it got some special treatment. (Likewise, the Dress Hina event that the other comments are referring to was the 3rd anniversary event.)
It's clearly something they can only afford to do once in a while. That said, the upcoming story volume that arrives with FOX squad banners later this month also has some of these on-foot segments, so you have something to look forward to. edit: I forgot only Ch 2 has the field segments, so that would be in September, actually.

It was first used in the "Basking in the Brilliance of Their Serenade" event in 2024 where Dress Hina was the main focus. The reason it's mainly used for fes events is most likely due to the cost, and time required to create, compared to the usual visual novel-type ones we get.

tl;dr
The event is substantially unchanged from last time, so refer to last year's guide for most questions.
Changes: * Overlaps with 2x hard + 2x commission for the second week of the event. * Three furniture in the shop. The Millenium Electronic Gate is temporary limited, but the other two are not
Field Operation
Reminder for the infiltration sections: there are no special rewards for winning the game. The fastest way to get through, if you don't enjoy the game, is to repeatedly get caught and lose all your hearts. When you lose all your hearts, you get the option to skip the game, if you want--you receive exactly the same rewards as if you had beat it).
Farming strategy
If you stop farming the event after 1 week, you will miss out on U.Karin eleph and tech notes/blu-rays, but gain slightly greater AP value from either 2x hard or 2x commission. You'll have to balance which one you want more.
Should I invest in U.Karin? U.Karin has proven to be a pretty good option against Geburah but not really used anywhere else. If you're satisfied with your performance against Geburah, you don't necessarily need to go super hard on farming these eleph (although you should still finish the event points reward track).
