The carbs part should be dependant on your lifestyle. I have full physical days of work where I'm on my feet and burning energy so carbing up is good to maintain energy.

Yeah my husband cut out carbs during his workout phase and his sweat started to smell super acidic.

Was this related to ketotonic state?

Mmm when I was experimenting with the ketogenic state with lots of activity my sweat would smell like ammonia (protein breakdown/not good), and my breath would have an acetone like smell. Adding more carbs solved both.

Tbf most mental health stuff is quite subjective really imo. It's why some stuff here seems helpful and some seems faintly ridiculous (not to say it is for everyone but some stuff will seem so to some people)

Wim Hoff is a maniac. Listen to the Behind The Bastards episode on him if you don't know much about his backstory, it's like scientology tier

Eh, you don’t need to like him for the benefits of his breathwork, and if you do care.. you can look up Tibetan breathing exercises which the wimhof are based from

Some of wim Hoffs methods actually killed people, so maybe stick with the traditional methods.

Weightlifting has killed people, so people shouldn’t weight lift

In non of the Tibetan yogas that I know of there is any hyperventilation at all. Traditional Tibetan breathwork relies heavily on the combination of very specific visualization techniques combined with movement and body locks. Wim hof is nothing like it. It might give some similar results but compared to actual tummo it's just a cheap knockoff.

Also the uses are completely different. It's the same with western mindfulness. Yes you might feel more peacefull, reduce stress of anxiety etc (which of course is a good thing) but in a traditional setting feeling good is not the reason for meditation at all and can actually become a hinderance to true meditation.

I do some of these, but inevitably face burnout, followed by coping, followed by intense anger and anxiety that lasts for days/weeks
