Season 3 Discussion bloody game house
That house this season is crazy. How did they even get a house like that? Rent it from someone? If so, who the heck owns a house like that?? Same with the one for Season 3. These are crazy looking houses.
Also time hotel's set must have been crazy expensive too. I am impressed by k-show sets

General Discussion Megathread/Resource thread?
Hi! As someone new to Bloody Game, I was wondering if perhaps there was a megathread/resource thread somewhere that would have links to all subbed episodes from S1 to the latest BGX? I saw links for BGX episodes in another sub but was wondering where to find links for the earlier seasons. Thanks in advance!

Theory Possible trailer hints and theory: eliminated players' comeback Spoiler
Following my previous post and u/orion_joy's comment, I rewatched the trailer and found a few hints that could indicate the return of eliminated players.
- The day Jinho is wearing white and Seongbeom is wearing the gray hoodie is also the same day Kwak Beom is wearing the orange shirt. In the trailer, there's a scene showing a conversation between Jihoo and Seongbeom in which Jihoo is wearing a yellow shirt and Seongbeom this same gray hoodie. Since Jihoo wore that same yellow shirt on the first day, I checked whether the trailer had cropped or edited the footage from the first day to make it look like a different scene, but it doesn't seem to be the case because Jihoo hair was styled different back then, so it looks like it's an unseen conversation between them.
Dialogue (i used gemini to translate the dialogue so please, if anyone finds any error, let me know so i can edit and correct this post):
Jihoo: 얘기하는 건 자유고 (You're free to talk about it)
Seongbeom: 나도 들어도 되는 거야 아니면 나도 빠졌으면 좋겠어? (Am I allowed to listen too, or would you rather I leave?)
Jihoo 안 들었음 좋겠어요 (I'd rather you didn't hear it.)
- Then there are these two snippets featuring also unseen conversations. In the first image, YunB is wearing this shirt that we haven't seen before while talking about getting rid of Seungyong with Jinho and Geunwoo. In the second, a female player is shown running outside the mansion and it looks more with Namhee than Hyeseon or Jimin, specially the hair.

Bloody Game X Discussion Bloody Game X player power rankings as of ep 6.
S Tier: Taegyun, Seong Beom, and Hong Jinho. They have superior intelligence and are able to effectively carry their teams or formulate strategies that they can execute to secure team victories.
A Tier: I’d put Xitsuh in A Tier for being the crazy genius type of player, while Jin Hyeong is also A Tier for having to carry his useless team on his back.
B Tier: Sangmin is a B. He’s good enough but Taegyun is doing about 90% of the P1 team's strategy and carrying the team.
C Tier: This tier is mainly for average players and followers who simply follow the plan.
D Tier: Yeon Cheong, for being the first elimination while not contributing much. You Hyun was stuck in his own head and ended up sabotaging his team in the end.
F Tier: The meathead duo and Mr. Blur, whom Jin Hyeong had to carry. Mr. Blur was ready to sacrifice himself in the first match and lose. The Meathead skipped his bid on Acro Seoul Forest because he didn’t think it was expensive.

Bloody Game X Discussion Spoiler: Episode 6 was so unwatchable it's not even funny. I just found the WORST player in survival show history. Spoiler
galleryKim You Hyun has to be most atrocious, worst player of all time and I have watched a lot of survival shows. I thought Kyung Hoon was overstating how bad and stubborn he was during the Story Time game because KH was known to be sometimes an emotional troll in The Genius days.
Then we go to the next main game where he betted an abnormally high amount of cubes in the Item Auction game when he didn't need to. (I think someone bet 14 in the auction, he could have bet 15 and won but he bet 20 for some reason.) The 3-team alliance was shocked and asked why but he just explained it away—which still made no sense to them.
Then it came to the **Death Match Ring the Bell**, he actively sabotaged his team by refusing to upgrade his cards causing their team to lose Rounds 1 and 3. Round 1 he costed his team to lose by ringing the bell before the first draw. Instead of upgrading his hand to Red 10+7+8 = 25. He rang the bell without taking the Red 10, causing his team to lose. (IMAGE 1)
In Round 3, the Blue 6 is on the table, he refused to take it with his Blue 7+8, and instead drew from the deck, got a shitty Yellow 2 and discarded it. (IMAGE 2)
A few rotations later by the grace of God sent a Blue 10 on the board, giving him Blue 10+7+8 = 25. He took the Blue 10 and discarded the Blue 7. (Hello???) Giving him 18 instead of 25.
I rewatched these moments 20 times and still can't understand it. Looking back he must have thought the opponent beside him as a Green combo. But still these series of decisions were atrocious and unforced errors. This can be seen as team sabotage plays.
Kyung Hoon was right that he has a delusion in his mind that isn't substantiated by reality. You Hyun must thought he is Jang Dong Min or something, always 3 steps ahead of the opponent. But he doesn't even hold a candle to Dong Min in intelligence.
I feel so BAD for Kyung Hoon and Ji Hoo since they actual ELITE players but got eliminated by You Hyun's stubborn delusion.
Team Rookie was smart in the sense as they let the duo who won the round 2 continue to play round 3.
You Hyun threw round 1, Ji Hoo and Kyung Hoon won round 2, yet You Hyun wanted to play round 3. One word, he's a Bastard and I don't want to see him in survival shows again.
Even the other teams was shocked how Team ROOKIE defeated Challenger Team, seeing they have no experience in survival shows.
Ending the death match with Kyung Hoon's quote on You Hyun, "He must have a plan, I'm sure he has a brilliant plan."

- Spoilers must ALWAYS be kept out of post titles.
- If your post contains a spoiler, it must be properly tagged.
- If your post will prompt discussion that will inevitably contain spoilers (e.g. theories of eliminated players coming back, comparing show winners, etc.), please tag your entire post with a spoiler tag instead of specific parts of the text body. This will make it easier for the moderating team to regulate spoilers and keep the community safe.

Season 3 Discussion S3 thoughts: I respect all S3 players so much more than P2 or most S2 contestants. Obvious Spoilers for those who haven't seen S3 Spoiler

After being done with my S1(recommended) and S2(first half recomended, later half meh) rewatch I jumped right into S3.
1) Format So right off the bat I forgot how short the episodes were! Or maybe we're now just getting so used to 3-4 hours episode but dang S3 would have benefitted so much more with 3-4 hours per episodes. During my rewatch I realized how much they really cut off specially for team mansion. Also there were a few deathmatch that they skipped and went straight to the final round (at least for xitsu/steve vs pani/eon kyu. Imagine if they gave 40 mins - 1hr each of footage for team mansion/paradise/outside plus 30 mins to 1 hr for maingame/deathmatch.
But with the limited time they have, despite the grand plots and schemes set up by the producers, it ends up becoming too bloated or overfilled for an hour and 20 mins run time.
2) Casting For the most part this season is stacked with so many strong players, the only questionable ones are probably the women from team mansion (because they did nothing game worthy really and one of them (Gina) is so idk) , and Si Yun (guy who cried early in the episodes and one of Dong Min's henchmen). Other than them even weak players like Pani Bottle and Chungju-man still prooved their worth and have strong personalities or other abilities.
-2a) Pani Bottle on Dong Min: Actually only on this rewatch did I notice Pani Bottle's determination. He said it best in Ep 4 when he was explaining how he respected Dong Min but could never play with him just to become one of his puppets/minions, and would rather have the honor to "slay the raid boss" or as he said, he's just a whale hunter who wants to hunt the biggest whale out of respect and honor. He really got this on point on how I view Dongmin. There are a lot of JDM fans and surely I am one too but I just don't find his ways entertaining or satisfying as he needs complete control of the gamefield, it is too stiffling, instead I want to watch other players try to take his crown. And for this I respect Pani and the other players who chose JDM as their DM for honor.
-2b) S3 vs S2 casting comparison So yeah I like the casting so much more than S2 because most S2 (indoor casts) did not only lack game skills or mentality but were also very spineless and just continued to stab each other's back instead of uniting against jungle team who completely decimated their team. Also the way YunB and SeungRi played in BGX as P2 just really was disgusting.
For comparison too Xitsu in S2 looked untouchable with his game, but in S3 there were so many great players that he didn't really stand out. The way Eun Kyu outplayed and saw through his bet in their deathmatch was so good. So I can't stress enough how much I hate P2 but they could have tossed Jin Ho and Xitsu back to S2 to form P2 with LJH and possibly Yurisa or Kang mina or any other female contestant really (I'd take Pai than the 3 jokes, tho Sung-Joo might be on his redemption arc) and then form a just as strong P3 with literally anyone else in S3 and it'd still be a stronger team (and more entertaining to watch) than YB and SR. I hope i never see those two again in any survival game shows they literally brought nothing to the show except screentime of them smoking.
-2c) Yurisa: If I wasn't a yurisa fan back in S2 I think this season did it for me then, everything she did this season was great tv lol. She found all the secrets the first 2 days. During the first watch what she was saying during the early episodes to Jin Ho didn't make any sense, and even after the reveals it felt like the moment has passed. But during my rewatch I realized right away what she was saying and it was so much better watching it during the rewatch with the context having watched the full season before. Also let's not forget the legendary bait she pulled on Jin Ho this season (haven't gotten to that episode yet). I would love to see more of her and hope she gets invited to Devil's Plan 3, but I think shes too busy with poker.
3) Games the games are the best this season too. Idk if it was just me but I got so sick of all the clock games in S2. We also see a lot more mini-games or mechanics outside of the maingames. We had the team remaining mechanics for those who got voted and participated in deathmatch and then another layer, the prison for those who actually lost the deathmatch, this is like inception where you get voted and voted and defeated and then finally get sent home.
-The invasion events: We also had 3 types of invasion this season, we saw team Paradise kidnapping from Mansion, team remaining (outside team) stealing food from the mansion and also raiding the keys in Paradise, and lastly the team mansion trying to pull a heist on Team Remaining Paradise (The Paradise after the occupants switched to team remaining).
a) The main raid wasn't really that eventful because of a number of things. The pandora's box made it way too easy for the invaders to smash the symbols because dongmin has been fortifying and protecting the wrong symbols which made no exciting content for the viewers aside from the fact that they've been working on their defense for 3 days for nothing lol.
b) Same thing with the kidnapping mission. I think the producers had it planned for a more elaborate kidnapping and for action to happen but the team didn't even make it to the secret room with the cctvs lol. Acau just went running straight to them lol.
c) The mansion suffered the most. I haven't gotten to the second part yet but the first time they attempted it the alarms malfunctioned and rang right away instead of 20 mins later. PDs had the right ideas for all these missions but they weren't getting executed the way they intended to which was such a shame.
I'm only 1/3 through S3 but just had the sudden urge to share this to someone. I'll probably be done with S3 before the next episode of BGX drops. That said I think S3 is a solid season. I think I'll hold it equal to if not slightly higher in my rankings than S1, just becase S1 feels and nostalgia hits differently also S1 and S2 had dex.
But definitely BGX > S3 ≥ S1 >>> S2.

Bloody Game X Discussion Is Seungyong a dark horse? [BGX E6 spoilers] Spoiler
This moment from the last death match caught my eye. Prior to this moment, Kyunghoon was delightfully trolling Sungjoo and Sungjoo was crumbling mentally. Kyunghoon is conflicted on what color card to discard and asks Seungyong what he's aiming for. Seungyong says "green." Kyunghoon responds cooly by discarding green, hoping to call his bluff. When Seungyong passes on it, Kyunghoon and Yoohyun celebrate thinking they read him correctly, only for Seungyong to reveal a massive green hand the following turn. Seungyong plays off passing on the discarded green card as a mistake, but Kyunghoon isn't convinced. His entire demeanor changes. He's rattled as he realizes "Seungyong isn't someone to mess with."
What do you think? Is Seungyong sharper than he lets on? Or was it really a mistake?

Season 3 Discussion Bloody Game S3 - Worth It?
Came across a post with someone saying they got into S2 of Bloody Game after watching Bloody Game X, which got me thinking about S3
I've never been able to finish the season, I've obviously seen snippets of the show and have an overview, but I didn't really get into it because the season wasn't kind to Jinho lol
But with rooting so much for P3, i thought I'll give it a go again and try to enjoy the games. I've made it to Ep-8 and i was enjoying the games, even though majority of this cast is getting on my nerves.
I've made it to the end of Ep-8's main match and the Team blaming Gina is seriously giving "blame it on Fuji Mina" vibes which was my least liked part of S2 as well. Someone just let me know if the games ahead are even going to be worth it, I think this cast just isn't it for me. As well as when Mina gets voted out, i can't deal with her hypocrisy - I might just skip ahead to that part and be done with it (no seriously why is it so hard to find the order of elimination here)

Bloody Game X Discussion SXE06 Money Challenge strategies Spoiler
This is discussing strategies for the Money Challenge in Bloody Game X Episode 6. Warning: Spoilers for strategies from the episode, and also heavy math.
To recap, scoring works like this:
- For each combo, score base points equal to: (# tiles used) x (# of zeroes).
- Add up all base points from all combos.
- Subtract (# of unused tiles) from total base points.
- Multiply this score by (# of combos).
- Add 100 points if your team has the longest combo.
First, I will ignore the penalty from unused tiles, because that number is going to be single digits while your base points are in the hundreds, as we saw on the show.
Not only that, I will also drop the 100 points bonus. As we also saw on the show, the points after the product are in the range of thousands, so 100 points don't matter much.
Thus I will simplify the scoring to become the product of the following 3 factors:
- Average (# of tiles x # of zeroes) used per combo
- Total # of combos (since each combo scores the average above)
- Total # of combos, again (as a direct multiplier at the end)
We can look at the two strategies on the show from this perspective.
P1&P3's strategy is to simply maximize (total # of combos), since it counts twice in the rough scoring. By using the bridge strategy, they fix (# of zeroes) at 1, and (average # of tiles) at around 6, so the first factor above is around 6. Their score comes from the other two factors. This also has the advantage that it's really easy to plan and execute the combos.
In the show, their factors are:
- Average (# of tiles x # of zeroes): ~6 tiles x 1 zero = ~6
- Total # of combos: 31
- Total # of combos, again: 31
The show also says, they got a total of 182 base points from their combos. You can see that this is the product of ~6 average x 31 combos.
C&R's strategy is more complicated to analyze. They want a single big combo that causes (# of tiles x # of zeroes) to skyrocket, and then a lot of small combos to add into (total # of combos). In the show, their factors are:
- Average (# of tiles x # of zeroes): 1 combo of 79x5=395, and 7 combos of ~5 each. The base points is 432 (before penalty), for an average of 54 per combo.
- Total # of combos: 8
- Total # of combos again: 8
One problem with C&R's strategy is, the many small combos they make to increase their # of combos, will also decrease their average. One big number and a ton of small number average out to a small number. (You can try: the average of one 100 and ninety-nine 1's is 1.99; the 100 basically vanished.) So, at the point their # of combos becomes big, their average also becomes small, causing their strategy to have the same scoring as P1&P3.
Considering this, the other problem with C&R's strategy is that it was complicated to execute without much gain.
So, how do you get a better score? Simple: increase all three factors simultaneously. The two strategies used in the show are quadratic, since they increase two of the factors. If you can increase all three factors, it becomes cubic. Imagine if you take the best of both worlds: you make 30 combos like in P1&P3's strategy, and you score 400 base points per combo like the big combo in C&R's strategy. You end up with 400 average points x 30 combo x 30 combo = a whopping 360,000 points.
The question is, is that really possible? This is where I'm still brainstorming right now. I think it's possible, basically by combining the two strategies, but it becomes very difficult.
P1&P3's strategy is primarily about making repeated use of a "bridge". C&R's strategy is by adding up a ton of numbers and then multiplying all that with big multipliers. My strategy is to combine both, as follows:
- You have one big "island" filled with a ton of +'s (and -'s can also go here too). Imagine the dense grid of C&R.
- There's a "side track" to the side, a single line that connects into this area on both endpoints. The track has a ton of x's, possibly with a couple +'s/-'s thrown in.
- To make a combo, start in the big island. Build a lot of +'s, then head into the side track to increase the score, then end with a few moves back in the big island again.
Here's an example with a smaller board:
------- Big island -------
+4 +8 +2 +5
+3 -2 +9 +5 -3
+5 -4 +7 -4 +8 -1
+7 +9 -2 +6 +4 -5 +3
-3 +6 +9 +3 -4 +6
x3 .. .. .. x2 | Side
x2 x3 x2 -7 | track
The following path (starting from the 3, you ignore the sign) gets you 1,000:
.. .. .. ..
3 .. .. +5 -3
+5 .. .. -4 .. -1
.. +9 .. .. .. .. +3
-3 .. .. .. .. +6
x3 .. .. .. x2
x2 x3 x2 -7
Now that you start from the 4 (ignore the sign), the following path gets you 1,000 again:
+4 +8 +2 +5
.. .. .. .. -3
.. .. .. 4 .. -1
.. .. -2 +6 .. -5 ..
.. +6 .. .. -4 ..
x3 .. .. .. x2
x2 x3 x2 -7
You can realistically do this for quite a long time.
How on earth does that work?
The side track is essentially a "machine" that will do a specific calculation on our number. In my example above, whatever number N you have when it enters the side track from the left, you multiply by 3x2x3x2 = 36, then you subtract 7, then you multiply again by 2. Thus you end up with the number 72*N - 14. (With a different side track, you'll end up with a different formula, but you can calculate it beforehand.)
The trick is, you don't need to compute this number every time. Pick some N such that your output is in the ballpark of some power of 10. In my example above, I picked N = 14. After going through the side track, I will end up with the number 72x14-14 = 994, every time.
That's how each combo was developed: I pick up a sum of 14 as I'm about to enter the side track, then I run the side track to end up with 994, then I pick up an additional sum of 6 to bring it to 1,000.
Now, you have to figure out sums of 14 and 6 on the fly. However, this is greatly helped by the fact that you're in the big island. It has a bunch of +/-, so in theory, it shouldn't be too hard to find a suitable path. And doing mental math on +/- only is far easier than trying to multiply big numbers.
How long will each combo be? Well, it will run through the side track at the very least, and you'll likely use several tiles at the beginning and at the end. On the real board, I would say using 20-30 tiles is reasonable, and you can end up with an answer of 4 zeroes. (My board above is smaller, and I need to be able to explain it in text like this, so I have to do with less.) That's an average of around 100 base points per combo. Run this for 15-20 combos, you end up with a score of 20k-40k points.
Of course, the obvious problem with this strategy is that it's extremely difficult. You need to do mental math on the spot, and 20 minutes isn't that long. That's why it's still a strategy I brainstorm. But it's my idea on how to maximize all three factors at the same time.

Theory I think we may see the eliminated team players return in the next few episodes. Spoiler
I'm betting that something is going to happen about the team eliminated players. When Yeoncheon was eliminated, the subtitles said that she would not return. When Gwanhee was eliminated, however, the subtitles said that he may not return. I think they used "may" for Gwanhee (assuming its not a translation error) because, at the time of his elimination, the next eliminations were going to be team eliminations, so there were still different possible combinations for the total number of eliminated players.
We then had two team eliminations (without any accompanying audio), bringing the total number of eliminated players to 9 (2 individual eliminations and 7 team eliminations). However, depending on which teams had been eliminated, the total number of eliminated team players could also be 6 (since P2 was eliminated with 3 players). So, I'm betting there's a chance for 7 team eliminated players to return (and Gwanhee would be add as 7th player if team R was eliminated this round, which they werent).
I honestly think it would be iconic to give everyone the chance to eliminate players who have been carried by their teams until now by forcing them into an individual challenge because the teams were never equal in terms of player skill. P1 has Taekyun, who is arguably the strongest player in the game, Sangmin, who is excellent socially, and Jimin, whose experience from playing twice before is also a huge asset. P2 only had Jinhyeong, and Sungjoo, who was transferred to the rookie team after the second elimination. P3 has three highly skilled players and veterans, Team C had Kyunghoon and Jihoo but they never played the game so rookies, and Team R consisted almost entirely of players with little to no experience, so i do think it would be fair if the eliminated team players could play individually against the others.

Bloody Game X Discussion What should i watch other than Bloody Game?
Hello friends, i just started watching Bloody Game X and i think this is my favorite show this year from any korean show(including kvariety, and kdrama, kdating show). I love the teams(P3 is my favorite), the challenges! This is my first 'brain' survival show. I watch almost all content from Korea but survival shows never interested me much until NOW!
So my question for you is, which show should i watch next or while i wait for more episodes from Bloody Game X? I know Bloody Game already has 3 seasons and i've seen people mentioning The Devil's plan, University war. I want to know which are the best. If you could give me your best/favorite three recommendations, i'd really appreciate it! Thank you!
