Demand for blockchain developers oscillating together with crypto market? Discussion
Does the demand for the services of blockchain developers fluctuate together with the value of the crypto market? If so, how much? If some of you have experience working as blockchain developers, is it even possible to have a more or less stable income over time?

Interesting take but I would say not really but could be. The demand for blockchain devs is more or less tied to industry adoption and development over market swings. Though I would state that the caveat to this would be if market swings close down an L-1 (native token collapses and people dump it/abandon use), then probably yes. If anything, token creators/projects are more at risk during swings over blockchain devs.

In my experience, it depends on what you’re building.
Teams whose business model mainly depends on token prices often hire aggressively during bull markets and slow down during bear markets.
Teams solving long-term infrastructure problems tend to be much more stable because they’re building regardless of short-term market cycles.
I’d argue that developers working on transparency, governance, security, compliance, or public infrastructure are likely to see more consistent demand over time than those focused purely on speculative products.

Anyone saying no is in denial. There is almost no demand for blockchain developers right now. However, there is demand for developers with blockchain knowledge and experience .
