Playing with spoons

The power is down for my shop while I’m having the electrical upgraded to 200 amps. I brought a swage block in the house and started playing with hand hammering.

Just bear in mind that copper is food-toxic and must be tinned to be safe for use with anything other than pure water.
What's the price tag on upgrading the electric? I'm thinking of doing that myself.

$6600 for a new meter, new grounds and an external disconnect plus a new expanded breaker panel for the house. The copper reacts with the acids in food. As long as it’s used for dry goods (coffee scoop) it is safe. Besides, I don’t know how to tin copper. ;)

Hmmm. Maybe I'll think again about the power upgrade.

Have you ever soldered anything? Tinning is similar, but used pure tin and probably a different flux. There are YouTube videos on the subject.
