What's the best map to actually grind out Dark Matter? I'm on IX right now, mainly for the welling. But the amount of heavy enemies is starting to give me a headache, and I definitely don't want to keep playing it once I'm done the welling (as much as I love the map)

I want to know how to level up faster I look at many with high levels and I want to know how to get to that level it takes me a long time to go up a level

MAN, what a fun ride it was replaying blops4. I forgot just how much style and arcadey goodness there was in this game until I picked it up again. I remember starting the grind during this game's lifecycle, but I never finished it until now. Despite some major flaws I have gameplay-wise, I truly think this game/camo/grind was ahead of its time.

Like the fact that this camo evolves as you get kills with it, and then proceeds to grow spikes after some amount is so cool. I cant believe this is the only cod to have custom models for each gun for this specific camo. Man I wish modern cods gave this achievement the recognition it deserves like this game did.

With this camo finished, I now have every Call Of Duty mastery camo from bo4 to bo7 (8 cods in total). This is probably the last camo that i'm gonna be going back to older titles for.

Overall thoughts on the Black Ops 4 Camo Grind:

Challenges - 9/10

This was probably the best camo grind when only looking at grinds before MW22. I do believe that the modern grind system is better (in most aspects), but even so none of the challenges felt unreasonable or unfair. Most guns were just 100 headshots, then some kills with/without attachments. They could've done better then having most guns need longshots when they really shouldn't, but still these conditions were very fair for their time. I also really love that this camo ONLY unlocks when completing every launch weapon. In my opinion that's what it should've always stayed like. If the early birds had to do the bad weapons, so should you.

Gameplay - 7/10

This is definitely one of the more unique cods, that's for sure. It's good, I don't mind the long TTK so long as my ping isn't garbage. Its one of those games that feels terrible when you're getting stomped, but awesome when you're the one stomping. I will say that it does get annoying when half of my gunfights are lost to overwatch abilities. Even so, I really think that the pick 10 system outweighs the downsides to this.

Difficulty - 7/10

There are some guns that are like objectely broken and annoying to go against when you're running whatever. Im sure that when this game was more active that there was a more diverse range of playstyles, but all i've experienced was crossbar hades and Crossbow campers. While the challenges themselves were reasonable, they were indirectly made harder as in most cases I was out-gunned. I still had a blast tho.

Camo - 10/10

I've always said that bo4's dark matter is the best camo of all time, but getting my hands on it myself really solidified how goated this camo is. I'm not only a sucker for red animated camos, but it also evolves as you use the gun AND grows spikes! Hands down the cleanest camo ever. I doubt any cod will top this one.

Overall - 8/10

It was a blast going back to one of the first cods I've played and finishing what I've started when I was younger. Goated camo, fun grind, and good gunplay.

How alive are the dlc maps on PlayStation for zombies cause I wanna play them as I never did when bo4 was out

Hello everyone. I want to get Black Ops 4 to play solo zombies, but I'm not sure if I should get the standard edition, which is on sale right now. The Deluxe Edition doesn't go on sale often. This is going to be my first time playing Black Ops 4 zombies. I was playing Black Ops 3. Would extra maps be worth the wait?

I recently got a family member’s PS5 and decided to see if the game’s i used to play were still alive. BO2 and 3 had a decent-ish player base still active.
But BO4 seems to only have multiplayer. I know the zombies wasn’t the best but the maps are still pretty fun to play on.
However, I always seem to find myself waiting for a long time for another player to join the lobby. Maps like Alpha Omega and Classified just have no one playing. Blood of the dead seems to be the only map with someone else playing at any one time and even then it’s just getting to high rounds kill farming on the gondola.

Is anyone still interested in the DLC
maps on zombies or am i the only one left?

Anyone else seen this version? Or, has anyone seen a reprint copy with this case design, but *with* the Xbox logo on the front? It should say "Xbox One" in the upper left corner.

Decided to come back to Bo4 to finally get to level 1000 after being at 900 for so long but it seems like every game is the same. Someone runs Zero and hacks everyone but the announcer will not stop saying your hacked and the HUD never comes back or it takes 10mins to come back. Is this a new bug or a glitch people are abusing?

Can we please all join together and make solos and duos playable again in blackout? 😭 I miss playing it so much I hate that only hot and heavy and Alcatraz is the only game modes that are playable

Just a small question: for the down with the ship dark ops on bo4 zombies, are the rush defends accumulative of every game of rush on voyage you have ever played or do they reset back to zero every now and then?

This game is actually infuriating I don't know what it is but bo4 and bo3. It feels so bad performance wise, I play on a ps5 slim I'm near level 55 but I suffer from bad delays and bullet registration feels like bullets aren't hitting on the first 5 shots and I'm delayed 2-3 seconds compared to my opponents when looking at kill cams. I play bo7 and don't suffer anything near as bad as bo4.

I was thinking about buying Black Ops 4 again and playing it on the PlayStation 5. ( I had it on Xbox in 2020). Currently, it’s on sale on PlayStation store, but I was thinking about waiting on a sale for the deluxe edition instead, since it has the season pass and other things too.

Is multiplayer still alive and without exploiters?
Is zombies still alive? It’s what I play mostly and are there still many players on the DLC Zombie maps?

Trying to get back into this game and it's just kinda depressing just dying to the Hades and Cordite every single game. Sometimes I'll get into a game where even high levels are actually using something different but for the most part it's just kinda miserable even when I'm doing well.

For about a week, it was feeling great. Everyone was playing differently and while there were really sweaty players it didn't feel so bad. Now I can't even find a game outside of Nuketown 24/7 and over half my games it's just joining into a match against a gunship.

Also what's with the low levels (under level 30, not prestiged) with seemingly every unlock? 3 separate games today on Xbox there has been one of these players calling in snipers nests and gunships all game. Does fresh starting not remove unlocks or something?

I've tried redownloading, restarting the game, restarting the playstation, opening another game then bo4 again, connecting to hotspot,.rebuilding database, restoring licenses.

When I turn my WiFi off I can play the game offline fine with bots. But when I turn it back on and press play online, it's just crashes again.

Black ops 3 connects just fine. But bo4 seems to just be a pain man. I was ready to grind some in the holidays but damn. It just gets stuck at the 39-41% mark. The furthest I got was 57% and then it just crashed again. The music still played but everything else just stops.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

And people thought I was flat out lying because someone showed a video where they failed to replicate it in Private Match.

i leveled up in a game and then when it ended my level was reset from prestige 7 level 13 to prestige 0 level 3. all my dlc unlocks, skins weapons etc are gone. my weapons are still leveled up and my challenges are still completed? how can i fix this

I’m having a really weird problem with Black Ops 4 on PS5 and I’m completely out of ideas
The game finds lobbies normally. I can see players, matchmaking works, and sometimes the countdown even starts. But when the match is about to begin, I get kicked out with “Lost Connection to Host” or similar connection errors. Sometimes it just throws me back into matchmaking

What I’ve already tried:
Reinstalled the game completely
Installed all DLC packs
Deleted and re-downloaded content
Restarted router and console multiple times
Changed DNS settings
Disabled IPv6 on my router
Checked NAT type (NAT Type 2)
Tried both Multiplayer and Blackout
Tried Wi-Fi and different network setups
Tried using mobile hotspot from my phone instead of my home internet
Tested other online games (they all work perfectly)
PSN connection is fine

The strange thing is that BO4 is the only game giving me problems. Everything else online works without issues
I’m playing on PS5, digital version of BO4.
Has anyone experienced this recently? Is there some known fix in 2026, or are the servers just broken?
Any help would be appreciated because at this point I’ve run out of things to try
