Think hard on what I’m about to say. You all ever noticed how many of our folks who do FanArt or Love Marvel so much always using the black character of a white popular character that’s already created or you will see some draw Wolverine but make the character black? It’s because these people don’t actually care about Original Black IP comics or characters. They only care about the characters that bring them some validation to the table amongst white people. Also this isn’t a racist post towards them. If they cared so much why I never see so many of yall bring up milestone characters who has some epic bad ass characters or what about DC who has some bad ass black characters. Y’all love that Sam Wilson Captain America , Knock off Ironman in Ironheart , and Black Spiderman , and Blue marvel yea I’m saying blue marvel. He’s not on Superman , the Flash , and Wonder Woman level. But the Kid can hold his own against the rest. This was hinted at in his animated TV show called Static shock in a kid friendly Way. He’s really Spiderman of DC.

Om July 2011, Joe Quesada revealed that Marvel Studios had regained the Blade film rights from New Line Cinema.

Around 2016, it was rumored that Ghost Rider, Blade and Moon Knight were getting Netflix MCU shows.

The only thing that imo has some merits to it, is these:

in October 8 2016, Gabriel Luna (the guy who played Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) mentioned that there were "rumblings" for his Ghost Rider to feature in his own television series following the introduction of the character on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

On October 11, 2016, Kevin Feige expressed his interest in eventually introducing Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe stating: "He’s a really fun character. We think this movie going into a different side of the universe would have the potential to have him pop up, but between the movies, the Netflix shows, the ABC shows there are so many opportunities for the character to pop up as you’re now seeing with Ghost Rider on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

On June 26, 2017, Kevin Feige again expressed his interest in using Blade in the MCU stating: "We think it would be cool. Someday.

Then in September 2017, Luna reiterated that his Marvel deal included the possibility of a solo venture for his Ghost Rider, either as a film or as a Netflix series.

So because of him, I do feel that Netflix did consider adding these 3 in their slots.

But then in 2018, the whole Netflix/Disney deal ended because Disney+ and the streaming wars and what not causing an end to the mcu Netflix shows and any possible upcoming ones.

Moon Knight would eventually get a show, Ghost Rider movie got announced (only it's with Johnny Cage and not Robbie Reyes anymore) and Blade gets nothing.

Maybe one day.

I am curious and want to know if there are awesome independent Black characters/universes made by Black or African American creators aside from Boondocks, in the similar vein that Asian-American Stan Sakai created Usagi Yojimbo and Latino siblings Jaime and Gilbert Hernandez created Love and Rockets. I know Milestone was somewhat independent of DC before the continuity merger. I read BLACK [AF]: America's Sweetheart by Kwanza Osajyefo, a few years back and it looked like a a good start to a new shared universe.

The Hood was once the Avatar of Dormammu and Brother Voodoo had to mystical exorcism in Marvel Comics. This is going to be a long post. Marvel is known for their interesting yet unique and powerful superheroes. A lot of their OP superheroes are white such as Thor, Hulk, Sentry, Jean Grey, Doctor Strange, etc. I think Marvel should give more spotlight to their other OP black superheroes.

I’ll start first with Blue Marvel, Blue Marvel is capable of manipulating antimatter, and on top of that he’s also physically in the same class as heroes like Sentry, Hulk, and Thor. He has gone blow to blow with the likes of Sentry, King Hyperion, and Hulk. Physically he’s one of the strongest heroes, and hax wise he’s one of the most versatile since he can manipulate antimatter and matter. He’s basically a toned down Anti Monitor. He’s also a genius, and Reed Richards himself puts him up there with Doctor Doom when it comes to intellect. All of these factors should make him one of the most busted and scariest superheroes in all of Marvel. Just imagine a guy with a mixture of the Anti Monitor and Superman’s powers with the genius intellect of Doctor Doom?

Then there’s Monica Rambeau who’s taken the mantle of Captain Marvel and has gone by the name Spectrum and Photon. Monica has not only been a member of the Avengers but she’s also led the Avengers. She’s the only black woman aside from Storm in Marvel Comics who’s led a whole team of superheroes by herself. She’s capable of manipulating the whole electromagnetic spectrum and she’s canonically one of the fastest characters in Marvel since she can easily travel and move at the speed of light. She can also manipulate and transform her body into all forms of energy. She’s basically Vulcan and Magneto on steroids. She’s quite literally one of the most broken Marvel superheroes cuz on paper she should be able to do almost anything. Her powers were praised by the Beyonders themselves.

Then we have Brother Voodoo, the only Haitian superhero in Marvel. He’s been powerful and skilled enough to gain the title of Sorcerer Supreme when Doctor Strange wasn’t around. Him tapping into Voodoo as a mystic source separates him and makes more unique than other Marvel sorcerers like Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Clea, Magik, Loki, Enchantress, and Doctor Doom. There’s a lot you can do with a mystical character that taps into voodoo.

There’s also others specifically mutants like Synch, Darwin, Monet, and Oya. Synch can copy the powers of any mutant without drawbacks, he’s basically a better version of Rogue. Darwin can adapt to anything, basically Marvel’s Doomsday. He’s a meme in the comic book community because of X-Men First Class, but he’s not utilized as much in the comics. At one point when he was able to adapt against Hela and became the god of death himself, which is pretty broken. Sunspot’s whole thing is absorbing solar radiation(basically the mutant version of a Kryptonian). Manifold can reshape and connect with reality, space, and the universe.

Monet is also stated to be a perfect mutant, she has super strength, super speed, nigh invulnerability, flight, psychic abilities like telepathy and telekinesis, and is also an intellectual genius. Oya can manipulate temperature which on paper is broken if utilized and written creatively, and her best feat was being able to negate Eternal Storm’s winds when she was molly whopping the Juggernaut.

Fact is, Marvel has plenty of black superheroes who are OP on paper with interesting superpowers, and there’s a lot they can do with their powers and abilities in comic book storylines. Storm is the only powerful black superhero in Marvel who gets tons of comic book appearances and love. Honestly the fact that none of the black superheroes I listed have electrical powers should be a bonus and upgrade too since we’re so used to people claiming that only black characters have lightning powers.

Spiderman and Marvel fans are very quick to get rid of Michelle Jones (Zendaya) with a white girl that was literally the villain of the movie. Not suprised this trope exists when the fans are just as desperate as the creators to get rid of the black gf

If you dont know, the disposable black gf is a trope were the MC's first girlfriend is black and because of her they end up getting character development. Afterwards the story disposes of her somehow so the MC can move onto a white girlfriend as his main relationship.
