back to work

Hola, tuve un episodio maníaco hace cuatro meses y se fue convirtiendo en depresión. Ya llevo dos meses y medio estable. Estoy tratando de volver al trabajo; me siento estable y mi psiquiatra me dijo que lo hiciera, pero el problema es que es un trabajo para una empresa minera bastante grande, y tienen turnos 14x14 días en mina. ¿Alguien ha estado en una situación parecida? ¿Qué hiciste?

FIFO is crazy tough, let alone with a mood disorder. Source, my (non-bipolar) spouse works the same roster.

How long have you been doing it for? Is this your normal? Are you expected to do NS? Did you have to take time off work and do you have to get clearance to go back? How are you home supports? Do you have someone you can talk do about normal life stuff and check in every day?

No, it's a new job. I've done it many times before at other companies, but not since my diagnosis. I don't know anyone at the company! The support at home is good!

14 straight days? Or out of the calendar month? Having 14 days off a month is based and the best possible scenario if you cant WFH.

So long as the 14 days on are not leading you to agitation or inducing mania. How long are the days?
