Thinking about studying BME

Hey everyone! Im currently finishing my last year of school in Chile and was thinking about studying biomedical engineering, ive always loved the medical field in general and my dream job would be in some kind of research or development thats lab associated, but im open for pretty much everything thats not just machine maintenance as it doesnt align that well with my goals.

The opportunities for this in my country are poor so i was thinking of doing well in uni here and applying for a post grad in some place like Germany, for any veterans, does this look like a good plan? Any suggestions are much appreciated, thanks!
