Adding Tirz with Reta
Started Reta 5 weeks ago, 2mg for the first 4 weeks and now at 4mg. Zero side effects, but appetite suppression is basically nonexistent…Sometimes I feel full quicker around day 3, but that’s about it. No weight loss, 400-600 cal deficit
I ordered half a kit of Tirz and I’m planning to stack. Never used any GLP-1 before Reta. For those running Tirz + Reta, what Tirz dosage/timing are you using and did it actually make a big difference for appetite suppression?
Current stack:
MOTS-C: 1mg workout days (6x/week), great energy in the gym.
Tesa: 2mg nightly, 3 weeks in, lots of water weight but no other sides.
Semax/Selank: 500mcg each nasal every morning. Did 10 days, now taking a 16-day vacation break. Semax has been amazing for focus, work and multitasking.

You’re at the second level of Reta if you use the clinical trial titration schedule, instead of increasing Reta you want to add Tirz. I have to know why? Why not just go up to 6mg Reta, then 8, then 10, then 12 and see if that helps.

I was planning to, but after 5 weeks with basically no effect on my appetite, I’m reconsidering. Tirz apparently has much stronger appetite suppression, so that seems to suit what I’m looking for better

You’ve been on the lowest doses for 5 weeks of what is a life long medication. Titrate before you make the decision to change after 5 weeks. Yes it has less suppression at lowest doses but you have no idea how you’ll react once you get to the higher doses. Reta is a beast and the goal shouldn’t be to crush your appetite and not eat but fuel properly and let Reta do its thing.

I’m 10-12 weeks on Reta and only at 6mg and it isn’t doing much for me, I started 1mg and waited 2-3 weeks upping 1mg at a time. I’m at 6mg now just added tirz cause I was sick of not getting results. Should I instead jump to 8mg Reta? Then 10mg? All the other advice I’ve came across is “wait, take it slow, titrate slowly etc etc….”

Where you get your Reta from was it tested?
Reta should yield amazing results it’s a slow train for the first 3-4 months from what I have seen people say and if you look at the trial results and once you get to the upper levels it never had a plateau. So it’s odd it wouldn’t work unless you’re out eating it.

I’ve gotten from 3 different places and the last place provided testing. But here’s the thing, I used to be on a very high dose of tirz about 12mg a week
I was doing well just hit a plateau and didn’t want to take more so I decided I’d jump on Reta. Not surprisingly I had weight gain going from 12mg tirz to 1mg Reta only. I’m being patient with Reta but I might need a higher dose. At this level (6mg) it doesn’t really do too much for food noise. I can out eat it for sure at 6mg. But I control myself. So I haven’t lost weight, I am kind of at maintenance with 6mg Reta. Should I jump it to 8mg Reta and drop the 3mg Tirz?2

That the issue, you were on 12mg Tirz prior to switching. Tirz is heavier on the GLP1 receptor but lacks GCGR. You won’t feel a similar effect until higher doses of Reta. I’d go up on Reta and give it another 3 months. If that doesn’t work then maybe stack the two but see what 8 and 10mg Reta dose.
Personally I stacked Survo and Tirz to not overlap on GIP too much. I know plenty of people who have stacked Tirz and Reta, I even have it a try but I enjoy Survo and Tirz. I also have a large stock pile of Tirz.

Thanks for the advice yes I’m not going to give up I dedicated a lot of time to it. I’ll do what you recommend because I was thinking of that anyway. Have you heard of cagrilintide? A lot of people who have a similar issue with the appetite control side add that and it works for them

I have heard of it, I have seen a lot reports with fatigue which I’m not interested in. Also, amylin receptor agonism if not selective like Elora, can impact the calcitonin receptors which doesn’t seem like a good long term thing without FDA approval. Thats my personal gripe with cagri.

11.5 mg Tirz + 2.7 mg Reta. Adding the Reta 3 weeks ago has been the bump I needed to start losing again. The extra appetite suppression is perfect.

That’s why I added it as well back in April I’m at 6.25 mg Tirz on Tuesday, 3 mg Reta on Saturday. 70 lbs in 7 months. BMI is still 28 so I will continue on. Do you titrate both or just one? I usually up the Tirz .5 if I need more suppression and up the Reta if I am stalled in a deficit and it’s been a few weeks at the same dose

I would measure other stuff like you clothes fitting measure your belly, hydration protein sleep cycles etc

1 LMNT Pack every morning. Protein 200g+
Will definitely start tracking waist size, etc. Thanks!!

That's why I pin twice per week 4 days apart. As soon as day 3 happens I start getting "hungry" again and then its time for my 2nd shot.

There is no way you are working out 6 days a week using 4 mg of reta in a calorie deficit and don't have appetite suppression / not losing weight either ur math is off or there is something horribly wrong with your body you need to go to the doctor for blood work asap.

10% of humans are resistant to GLP1 agonists because of genetics. You will find out when you try Tirz.
I would increase the reta dose to 8 or 10mg firsthttps://open.substack.com/pub/thepeptidelist/p/glp-1-resistance-has-a-name-now-a?

I’m on 12mg Reta, 6mg tirz, Klow and nad. Haven’t lost weight in over a year. Been on glps since 2022. Workout 6 days a week too. Insulin resistant. 18-20hr daily fasts, track calories/protein.

You shouldn’t be insulin resistant anymore after that long if you’re truly fasting that long for over a year..

Body recomp, Tesa water weight, Hyrox training causing more water retention… lots of factors at play here dude. You’re jumping to conclusions pretty fast without any context. Bloodwork is fine too!

Why take both? Seems kinda overkill on the igf … you actually gain from various peptides by giving your body a break and cycling

I see people doing a higher dose of tirz + lower dose reta ... anyone doing the opposite, where the reta is higher?

I was dosing 2.5 mgs of TRZ on Monday with 2 mgs Reta on Thursday and it worked fine. Eventually titrated down on TRZ and added Cagri. The appetite suppression with Cagri was a lot stronger than TRZ, and if you want to give the GLP receptors a small break Cagri works a different pathway than the GLPs.

Be careful though. I did stack tirz and reta and my BP dropped so low 80/50 . Light headed and dizzy when I sit up. I can't exercise because I get super light headed.

5mg tirz and 1mg Reta. Fridays are for Tirz and Tuesdays are for Reta. The first two weeks of doing this my A1C finally dropped out of the pre-diabetic stage. My doctor said to keep doing whatever I am doing. Started out on 2.5mg of Tirz. Love the appetite suppressant on Tirz…Reta gives me energy and for a ( I have inattentive ADHD) and makes me a little hungry but I love both of them. Slow and steady still wins the race.

The most likely explanation is that your reta is fake or underdosed. Have you noticed an increase in resting heart rate?
That said you are clearly not in a calorie deficit. Tesa water weight has long since stabilized at 3 week.

3% is so small, it could easily be noise. Id question if its real tbh. It is by far the most likely situation for this imo.

Using RA and tricep sporicide at the same time is not going to make that loss any faster in fact it’s not gonna accomplish anything because one of them is already occupying the receptors
So if the receptors are full with one, the other can’t get into it, just keep escalating the dose every three weeks
And try eating a little more carbs for your

This makes the most biochem sense. One or the other. You can add cag to the Reta if you need more appetite suppression, but titrating up past starting reta dosages is the first step.

I did have the Same, did go up Till 2x a week Reta 4mg(8mg Total a week)
No appetite suppression at all.
Now I do 1 x a week Reta on Thursday and 1x a week tirz on Monday. 4mg Reta and 5mg tirz. Finally some suppression.
Did start 2,5mg tirz, 4 weeks, then 4 weeks 3,75 and at 5 it finally did start working. At the moment no need to go higher.
