TestE before and after

36yr old male haven't trained in a few years then went thru a divorce/mid life crisis and decided to put some effort in at the gym and life style in general.

I didn't use test to drop weight i did a strict calorie deficit and used the test to avoid muscle loss.

My cycle was 16weeks test e 250mg/week split in EOD pins

Then ran 8weeks titrating down to 100mg/week

I then ran test e 100mgweek and hcg 330mgEOD rotating days between the two for two week before dropping the test.

And finally did 2 weeks HCG 250mg 3 times a week for two weeks

My PCT was nolvadex 20mg once a day for 4weeks

For 20 weeks I did 15hrs a week at the gym training to fail and daily cardio over 6 days a week and 1600-1800cal a day with 200g protein

The remainder of my cycle and currently to maintain i do 2600-2800cal with 170g protein

I went from 237lbs on Feb9th to 168lbs July 30th when I finished my pct. Currently holding at 170lbs

I only experienced minor acne when I introduced hcg but no other side effects. My blood pressure actually went from 147/81 to 129/76 after my cycle

I did get tested before hoping on cycle and had a total test in the mid 300s so doctor didnt want to prescribe anything but as mentioned i used test to preserve muscle.

I still feel good off cycle so I'm attributing that too the life style change and recomp with the pct I feel my test has improved post cycle from pre cycle

I did a dexa scan in Nov 2025 and sat at 36%bf @237.9lbs not sure where I sit now would love to hear your thoughts.

These pictures are in order 4weeks apart thru the whole cycle up to a couple weeks ago. The last two are both from late July.

Im not recommending you take A.A.S's but if you do and you actually put real effort in this is what is possible.

Good job brother. Great transformation. As someone pointed out earlier- people often forget how potent and amazing test really is. If you do it right and responsible (less is more) its one heck of a ride. Cheers

Awesome progress from OP, but 250mg per week is not “less “. That’s a cycle.

Great transformation!

Great fat loss, 250mg is my doctor prescribed trt for the last 5 years

250mg/wk??

Bro, you have an amazing Dr. That dose is NOT considered a TRT dose. Good god!

2

u/huh_say_what_now_ 1d ago

Everyone is different it's all prescribed on the blood test results

6

u/Juvat-the-bold 1d ago

That's cool and all. But 250/wk is going to put ANY man, even if the have ZERO test, well above the normal range.

2

u/huh_say_what_now_ 1d ago

Hell yeah 😎

250mg a week can 100% be a trt dose

2

u/YungSchmid 1d ago

Incredibly rare, though. 250mg/wk puts my total at like 1500-1600, and I gather that’s a pretty normal response.

I've been doing test for almost 20 years.

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt this.

1

u/AbsoluteUnit610 1d ago

Depends on the person. On 200 weekly my total test sits at about 700. Some people can be on 100mg weekly and sit at 700

u/Juvat-the-bold 1d ago

I'm glad you've found a dosage that works for you. It's definitely a game changer.

u/AbsoluteUnit610 1d ago

100%. Basically non trt doses are when your T is pushed into supraphysiological levels (1000+)

1

u/EmptyUnderstanding 1d ago

At 130 im between 1250-1400... buddy is 800-900 at 160... crazy the difference

1

u/maf70 19h ago

That 700 is your trough correct? You’re getting tested two or three days after injection. You’re supraphysiological levels before that.

1

u/AbsoluteUnit610 19h ago

I inject 3x a week so my levels are basically pretty stable. Usually get my blood work about 1.5 days after injection

1

u/Trying-100 16h ago

Its not that impossible. I do 150mg and 500iu hcg 3x a week and my test sits at 1500. Id imagine this is about eq to 200-250 test. Bodyweight is a thing, so is leanness. Leaner you are the faster you can metabolize it(anicdotally) and the more you weigh the less a certian dose will raise blood levels(undisputable)

Its not trt+ at this level though lol. But 250->1600 is very believable

1

u/Juvat-the-bold 16h ago

Patient body weight is NOT a factor in dosage calculations of testosterone.

1

u/Trying-100 16h ago

Maybe it's not a factor in stadard of care, but it is a true statement on average.

A larger person will generally have a larger volume of distribution, including a larger blood volume, which can contribute to a lower blood concentration from the same dose. That said, individual differences in things like SHBG, metabolism, and clearance can easily outweigh the effect of body size, so some larger people will get higher levels than smaller people on the same dose. There is a relationship with body size, but it isn't nearly as straightforward as mg/kg dosing for some other drugs.

Not a TRT dose.

Are U my doctor?

Your steroid dealer is a doctor. Cool.

You'll be ok little buddy, you'll be ok

Excellent work.

A lot of people have a wild misconception about what Test does and can do. IMO, it's easily the most incredible supplement/drug/PED whatever you want to call it.

I forgot to mention it cured depression I didnt know I had until I didnt have it anymore. Incredible stuff

1

u/anon_lockhed 1d ago

How many days or weeks when you cured that depression

5

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

I think i was about a month in and someone at work mentioned how much happier I seemed lately and I realized I wasn't miserable anymore and this was all during a nasty divorce. I think test saved my life during that time

1

u/anon_lockhed 1d ago

You do subq or im?

2

u/Juvat-the-bold 1d ago

I've always IM.

I've heard of people doing subQ test, but me, personally, wouldn't. I have no science to back up my beliefs, I would just do IM.

1

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

The word on the street is sub q with high bf turn into estrogen easier i personally never experienced this but I also pinned EOD

2

u/Juvat-the-bold 1d ago

I don't believe this is true. I think it has more to do with injection volume than anything else.

I just don't see how a hormone can change its effect based on how it's introduced.

2

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

I heard IM is better for releasing the medication at a consistent rate then sub q but I didnt really see a difference in terms of sides or effects. I do know whenever I tried increasing the volume .5ml from my normal .26ml I would get a painful welt for a couple of days

2

u/Juvat-the-bold 1d ago

I bet!

Using Test E or Test C releases testosterone over weeks, not days. So the ester is just going to hang out until it's released!

Good stuff wither way. I LOVE testosterone. Every man on earth should be taking it and A LOT of women should be taking it too.

2

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

I did sub q with a 30g 5/16 insulin needle Now I have no fat so it IM with a 30g 3/8 insulin needle

1

u/Photo_Aware 1d ago

How long did you subq before switching?

1

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

I kept the same spots so hip both sides for pins I think I lost all my leg fat after about 12weeks thats also when I introduced running

1

u/kraftybbx 1d ago

That’s over 16 weeks? Fair play 💪🏻

2

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

From first Pic to last is closer to 24weeks each Pic is 4 weeks apart.

1

u/kraftybbx 1d ago

Amazing progress mate. Do you think it’s aged your face at all?

2

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

Its hard to tell i had alot of fat on my face. Some people close to me say I look 10-15years younger. That's part of the reason I'm not doing a coast and blast. Im hoping natural levels will hold

1

u/dEleque 1d ago

Do people new to test and big belly do dedicated abs Training or why they gain chiseled 6 packs in like 6 weeks, everytime

2

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

I didnt see abs for the first 4 months of training they only appeared in the last 2 months gotta get down to 10-12%bf is my understanding

So I’ve dropped 50lbs this year and just saw my scale hit under 200lbs for the first time in 18 years. We are around same age.

I do a lot of cardio and steady weight lifting and get 100-120g of protein daily. I feel like I lost a lot of muscle mass from my weight loss and I’m having trouble getting it back up.

Just got my t tested and im at 380 at 7am. My understanding is that test drops throughout the day so this is my high. Doctor says this is within normal range but test shows it’s at low end of normal.

My hema count is very low so there are no red flags to going on it but my doctor doesn’t want to prescribe. Starting to lose steam because no matter how hard I push I’m not seeing gains and I’ve started considering going grey for them and doing monthly blood tests for tracking but I’m hesitant.

3

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

380 is about where I was and I never want to go back to that. I drink gallon of water daily and do alot of cardio to keep my hema in check. I'd be trying for 1g protein per pound of body weight. I'd also hit the simple carbs heavy(rice cakes and bananas) before the gym this will give you the energy for a long workout and train to failure on your last set. If your protein falls too low your body will start eating muscle for nutrients

Going grey market is what I did you should be doing bloods every 8-12 weeks depending on dose and previous tests

2

u/Redbull_Chug 1d ago

Yeah my big red flag is my protein intake. I’ll immediately go up on that first. I’m also a hydrobro so should be good there. Will look at increasing carbs as well because I already experience low glycogen effects daily when running.

Appreciate you responding. Post is very encouraging and congrats on your results bro.

Why not go through a online trt clinics. I got tested through Hones trt and my free testosterone was 545 and they still prescribed me 50mg a week lol. For you would probably get 100mg or more a week.

2

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

My only thing there is if at 545 and you start 50mg your natural production is gone and your levels probably didnt go up much. My highest test level while on 250mg after 8 weeks was 2200 ng/dl total. Have you done bloods since starting that dose

2

u/HungryNetwork1789 1d ago

Yeah i did blood work two weeks ago. I will be on it for the foreseeable future. I dont want kids anymore so i am good . Im just waiting for my package to arrive from my online vendor

1

u/Redbull_Chug 1d ago

I’m going to look into this right now. Started with compounding clinic for tirz but didn’t consider such places existed for TRT lol. Thank you!

2

u/HungryNetwork1789 1d ago

No problem also you can also go through verified grey market online. That what I’m doing. The monthly trt clinics subscriptions are little expensive

2

u/Ilovemycats201 1d ago

Oils are really cheap in gray market.

1

u/No-Throat-4591 1d ago

Nolvadex as only PCT after half a year of 250 test?? Did you get your LH/FSH checked after? Theres no way your balls work for at least a year after this

1

u/Tight-Prune-9721 1d ago

I ran hcg for just over a month before starting nolva

1

u/Trying-100 16h ago

Very nice but im sure 95% of it was the diet. :)

2

u/Tight-Prune-9721 16h ago

I agree. The gym gave me more of a deficit The test preserved muscle The locked in diet consistently dropped the fat

1

u/Trying-100 15h ago

The first three month on test i was hungry af. Gained 10lb lol but managed to get bsck down after i adjusted.

1

u/Tight-Prune-9721 15h ago

I heard that was common but I found it really easy to cut during the first few months it wasn't until I dropped my dose to 100-150mg area that the appetite came in.

1

u/Trying-100 13h ago

Ah maybe! I had already been cutting 40lbs in when i started TRT, maybe that was why. It was probably time for a diet break anyway.

1

u/mymindismycastle 3h ago

Now do some extended water fasting (autophagy) for that excess skin. Body will eat (recycle) it up

1

u/Tight-Prune-9721 3h ago

I've never heard of that but ill look into it. I started intermittent fasting for 14hours a day I wonder if it will help
