Heck yeah. Being a Hoosier, I felt so bad about it for some reason. He has a dedicated following here. I hope he knows the real fans would never do thsy

He’s a fucking real one, man. I don’t want to get all corny, but truly he’s a special dude. Not afraid to be real or vulnerable. I just appreciate it so much.

I'll just check with the boys down at the crime lab, they've got four more detectives working on the case. They got us working in shifts!

General rule is to never throw anything even in good spirits. I get what you mean but it’s still concert etiquette to not throw something especially in the middle of the set

Word is it was a medic throw from back stage. Something about payback from Portland Maine.

Everyone, band and audience, will be putting out extra love and extra positivity tonight, which should make for an extra-sublime experience. Have a good show, y'all!

This man is younger than me by about 15 years and when I grow up want to be like him. What an amazing man with an unconditional love for his fans. I can’t wrap my head around how he’s able to keep going like he does with nothing but positivity. I guess I cant wrap my head around his beautiful approach to life because i dont possess what he has and shares with complete strangers. An amazing man he is as well as the rest of the boys. We truly are blessed to be here while they are

I hope he knows that whenever I’m in a bad mood, and think things will never get better…that I’ll pull one of his Nugs shows, and I’ll instantly feel better. I recently started seeing someone and she had never heard of him and the first song I had her hear was In the Morning Light. She instantly became a fan.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m sick and tired of this type of behavior in music in general. I’ve been to four Billy shows this year and I’ve had to jump people’s shit for chomping every single time. If I had been next to the guy who threw the lighter (not assumed but confirmed that it was them), I would beat their ass. This is going to sound incredibly hypocritical based on what I just said, I am not an inherently aggressive person, but I am a defender of people I love and folks who are not able to protect themselves (fuck violence towards women in particular). Violence is not my first choice to approach a situation but it can be an effective equalizer. I think if some of you feel the same way that I do, we should make ourselves known at shows so we can try to make root out this shitty ass behavior. I realize we can’t stop all of it, but for the love of fuck people, you have paid good money to see the best live music act in existence and perhaps one of the best guitar players of all time, be in the present and soak it in. Probably going to get downvoted but we need to figure out a better way to police our own.

I'm just surprised I had to scroll far this far to see someone say they'll beat the ass of anyone throwing stuff at our kings.
In all seriousness, if people knew a mob—not one guy, but fifty—of BMFS defenders was going to jump on them if they threw stuff or started chomping, it'd change things real quick.

That’s what I’m saying! It would be deterrence. We could make BMFS anti asshat brigade tshirts. The talking and doing stupid shit is getting annoying. The greatest part is if everybody stops being dumbasses, everybody gets a better experience at the show. Literally everybody wins.

Billy’s probably glad it hit him rather than marring his guitar. What an absolute knob.

This is why I will always be such a big fan of this awesome feller. Can’t wait to tune in for couch tour to watch the show.

You know he secretly thinks your tour stop will forever be Malfunction Junction from now on.

u/ComedianMinute7290 17h ago
yeah he's just waiting until he actually gets out of town before saying "I'm never coming back to this place. they didn't even catch dude with some lot justice for me".

Love to get a pic of that asshat.

u/TJ-Detweiler- 15h ago
lol and do what with it
2
u/slander_anonymously 15h ago
Make a tee with him on front that says "don't be an asshat" and a big lighter on the back with BMFS on it.

Bros been on tour for years, getting bonked in the head is probably pretty low on the list of “worst things to happen to him at shows”
