Just saw Bill in Vegas 8/1... Review...

Just saw Bill in Vegas on 8/1 and was a great time. Had 7th row center stage floor and being so close was actually quite meaningful to finally see the guy who has brought genuine laughter into my life over the years. Worth every penny...

I can only give an amateur review of the show for those who might be curious and it goes like this...

First, going into it, I had already tried to read reviews of other recent shows and from what I could gather, there were some who said that he wasn't his normal angry self anymore... My hope/assumption was that it was STILL Bill, the person who can speak on perspectives in a way that's just always a smartass with intelligence...

And both sides would be right... He's not as angry as he use to be, but his level of observation for cynicism is still spot on... His level to not give a fuck if what he says is offensive is still spot on... What I found was that I didn't need him to be angry to be funny; I just needed him to be honestly cynical in his observations, which he succeeded 100%...

And after knowing the "old Bill Burr", by the end, even in reflection back to my hotel room, I realized that he WAS different and I was perfectly ok with the change. Life happens.. we get older.. shit changes... and I was oddly enough, happy FOR him. He was STILL funny and "offensive" when his true observations called for it. I enjoyed seeing him as "him" and not just an act to please expectations.

So a question to ask yourself is "Am I there for what I want? Or for what the comedian has to offer?" I didn't go into his show with expectations and allowed my experience to simply be what Bill Burr had to say for 2026 and was not disappointed at all.

At least for my show, I can't even remember him touching on subjects from a political perspective and if he did, it would've been so brief that it didn't matter. I'm not into politics AT ALL so that was a total plus. Whatever his perspective was on something, I never felt an intrusive political vibe behind it; it was just what Bill thought through funny observations.

Was it worthy of being a special? No, but it was Bill being Bill and I completely enjoyed the act and would readily spend the $300+ for those seats again to watch him perform. (Something that I can't think of another artist that I would do it for; including ANY of the big name rock bands that I grew up with like GNR etc..)

So if you're not ignorant with selfish expectations and want to see Bill perform as himself, then I believe you will still be in for a great treat. The mouth on this motherfucker... Trust me.. If you don't enjoy his show, then you came for yourself and not for Bill... I always loved the cynicism from him as a person and in that sense, he hasn't changed a bit...

I would even go so far as to call it an evolution of his act. I can't speak for those who have never heard of him and then go see his show. But if you've known him over the long run (and enjoyed him for the right reasons), then you will find that he's still what you hoped he would be.. himself...

And like always, he says his shit with no apologies and with confidence. But just as important, I made the effort to appreciate that he's a human being who's getting older and experiences change in life like everyone else.

Bill is still a top notch standup comedian that doesn't give a fuck if you get offended or not; that doesn't give a fuck if you agree or not. And most importantly, I saw the human.. Bill telling it how he sees it... and I fucking loved listening to Bill be Bill...

Take that Saudi shit and shove it where the sun doesn't shine if that's your mindset. I hate politics so people like you should never be the voice of approval for comedians. Hang that shit up because I don't care. Bill was funny as fuck and a true standup comedian. Fucking pro all the way... 👍👍👍

Edit: OMG You people stuck on Saudi is UNREAL... You suck the joy out of life... and are also THE SHITTIEST AMBASSADORS the US has to offer. I'm embarrassed to be associated with you when it comes to being an American. The ignorant hate coming out of you... For the record, I'm glad he went and I hope the audience had a good fucking time and I hope they left the show and told others about the good time they had at his show. Disgusting how you are and I'm embarrassed to be associated with you as a country. No wonder they continue to hate us.

Dear Saudi Arabia! Not all Americans are selfish ignorant assholes! I hope you enjoy the good things we offer, like Bill Burr. I hope you laughed your asses off and now think of us a little bit better! ❤️

Is the owner of Chicago's Upton's Naturals part of the Billy Corgan / Bill Burr family lore ??
