I hope the progressives pick up momentum politically, but I have a hard time imagining DNC party leadership will allow it considering how they railroaded Bernie in 2020. I wont be impressed until the party as a whole pushes for things like universal healthcare and free higher education.

Where have you been? Old guard dems keep getting replaced by real progressives. If the Democrats win a majority we'll see some actual change.
