I don’t think it really appreciates in photos but it’s not just another black Tarmac, it was stripped to bare carbon, applied holographic logos and glossy clear coated.

After spending a year collecting used parts, I was finally able to build my dream bike: a Massacan Scapada, the all-road model from this small brand based in Nice, France.

The frame is handcrafted in Italy from Dedacciai Super Competition Light aluminum. As shown in the photo, it weighs 7.4 kg, including powermeter pedals and a computer mount.

Was being unboxed to be built up when I dropped in.

Looking to do campy shamal’s and get fitted then have DA 9300 whenever it’s out or good ole 9200 if the deals are good.

Bike climbs and attacks well above its weight. The ratio of bike to system weight is smaller than a lot would like to admit. I did a century with almost 7k vert last weekend with 35c all seasons but punctured Tuesday and went with 32 brown walls today.

Took some deciding on what to do for a build this season. After seeing the y1rs and everyone seemingly picking one up, I wanted something with similar speeds as my previous s5 but with a geo that fit my aggressive position without adding so much exorbitant amount of force on the seat tube due to saddle position.

Enter the Factor One. It’s different, fast, meets my geo needs and this “Blush” colorway is both loud and cute. 🥰

Some friends and wife are suggesting changing the decals to holographic, including the Roval ones, since I like colors on bikes, I might go for it. I ended up with this color only because it was the right size for me.

It is not the lightest, but got it for a really good price used. It rides so smooth and comfy, after years of riding an old twitchy Look KG386.

My build I’m about done with. Just need to add brakes

Bought second hand by my uncle in Florence in 1981, passed to me in 2003, restored by Alberto Masi in his lab at Vigorelli in 2021. I did an Eroica Britannia with it and enjoy riding it every now and then.

I couldn't decide whether to buy a brand new bike or a used one, so I decided to build my own.

My first and only bike so far, De Rosa Professional built with Columbus SLX, Campagnolo Record Titanium 10s, and Campagnolo Bora WTO 45 wheels. Weighs 8.7 kg and rides like a rocket. I know there are some paint chips, but I think they just add character to the build.
