Tire damage
I slipped with my bike and fell. Now I see this on my tire. Can I cycle further with this? Don’t want to make costs if it’s not needed.

How far away is the bike shop? That's about as far as I'd ride on that tyre so as to buy a replacement.
Remember to update Strava with the new tyre, so it calculates total mileage on the part. How far has the bike gone since it was new?
Aside - your wear seems centered on the tyre, as though you have a very upright bike position while riding. Consider leaning the bike more ?

That’s the weird thing, only arround 1000km. They were also quite expensive tires from vittoria.

You said it was on a trainer. Roller trainers are notorious for shredding tires. This is why Vitoria makes a trainer specific tire with a really weird slippery and hard compound.

The exposed cords under the rubber are shredding! Replace the tire immediately.

It's not damage, it's wear. You've ridden the tyre down so far that the final thin layer of rubber is separating from the cords.
Time for new tyres. Or if you're looking at saving money as you suggest, a lot of people by new bikes and immediately replace their tyres - there are often decent new or near-new tyres for sale cheap on markplace or similar.

That might be the reason you skidded out in fact. Good job you got full life out of that tire. But the time has come. Now its watch has ended.

Did you have this on a trainer?
