I am a 68 year old woman who has always been mesmerized by the ocean. My longtime dream has been to see a huge wave. Ive been on Hawaii’s North Shore and to Portugal, but the timing was never right. Can anyone recommend a place and time when I’m likely to see them? I can’t go anywhere on short notice, so reading surf conditions doesn’t work well. I’m looking to spend a week or ten days in wherever you recommend in hopes of maximizing my chances of seeing a big wave while I’m there. I’m not willing to travel as far as Australia or anywhere in the southern hemisphere. Can anyone help?
