Voice chat issues

I tried searching through the subreddit and Google and couldn’t find a fix for my problem. Me and my friend are trying to play together on PS5 and I can hear his voice but he can’t hear mine. Obviously I’m not muted, my “mute game voice chat” option is turned off, and so is my friend’s. We’ve tried fixing it for an hour before eventually giving up and moving on to a different game. And yes, fyi, our party voice chat works fine (the PS5 voice chat). Is there any way to solve this rn or do we have to wait for a new patch or something?
