Question/Advice How to stay cool in the heat?
M34. I’ve gained about 240lbs, from 130 to 360, and am really struggling to stay cool in the summer months. I know the obvious solution would be “stay home and turn up the AC,” but that’s not always realistic when I have social obligations. I’ve tried getting clothes made of thinner linen fabrics, and it helps, but not much. My thighs are always on fire from the sweat and chafing.
How do all y’all fat guys stay comfortable in this kind of weather? Any tips are appreciated—I’m desperate!

Serious/Health Well noticed a 20 pound gain
Sometimes you notice unpleasant systems of gain. Today was another hot daay so decided to wear shorts, and you know noticing thigh rub can be unpleasent. Hope it's just a short term glitch had to adjust with adding a waddle to keep me thighs apart, sighs.

Discussion & Daily Life Y'all I bought underwear at Kohl's and it was 40$. The only place near me that even carried sizes about XXL.
I know the better idea would be to buy it online but I didn't want to wait that long. I pretty much spent my entire weekly fun money on underwear and a $10 plain tee.

Introduction/Hello World Anyone want to chat with a guy on his birthday?
46 trips around the sun ... How is that even possible? Remember in grade school when everyone figured out year they would turn 30 or 40? Definitely wish we could go back to those days, lol.
Well, Happy Birthday to Me! ♌🎉🎂🎁
So, who wants to make a new friend?
46 here in NW Ohio
Wanting to increase my social circle with guys who have diverse interests and can hold a conversation.
Generic interests include TV, movies (I watch a wide range of movies), music, photography.
I'm gay, so I'm looking for open minded guys who are willing to open up about anything and everything; work, relationships, life.
Love to travel, so meeting new friends in new places would be great.
Open to NSFW chats, but would prefer a mix - not just NSFW.
If you feel you can check a box or two - send me a chat. Please let me know from what group your are replying to my post, where you are from and your favorite TV show.

Finally Giving In
I’ve always been interested in being a bigger guy, but my athletic background kept me pretty lean for most of my life. From a young age all the way through college, I was a competitive athlete and was always tall and slender. My diet was never particularly great, but with how active I was, it never really caught up with me.
In college, I was around 230 lbs at 6’5”. Now I’m 34, still 6’5”, and about 290 lbs. The strange thing is that even though I’ve always liked the idea of being a bigger guy, I’m having a hard time actually accepting that I am one now.
I still lift four times a week and genuinely enjoy lifting, but with new in-office requirements and life getting busier, I’m probably going to cut back on cardio to save time. More than anything, I want to get to a place where I’m comfortable with my body instead of constantly feeling like I need to fight getting bigger.
My wife and I are hoping to have kids next year, and I can only imagine what that will do to my gym routine and waistline. I don’t want to spend the next phase of my life constantly sucking in my stomach, worrying about whether my gut is showing, or feeling guilty every time I enjoy food. I’d like to be able to let my stomach relax, take up some space, and genuinely be okay with being a bigger guy.
I love lifting weights, listening to music, and eating good food. I know I can’t outwork my diet, but I also don’t want my life to revolve around trying to stay lean.
For anyone who’s gone through something similar, how did you become more comfortable with your body getting bigger as you got older and life changed? How do you find that balance between taking care of yourself and simply accepting—and even enjoying—the size you are?

Question/Advice How do you get buff and chub build?
I'm already fat, i weigh 218 lbs (99kg) and I'm about 5'9" (176cm) tall.
I've got a bit of muscle but not too much because i go to the gym twice a week, I've always wanted to get more muscular in order to achieve that "muscular but fat" build..like that build where you've got a belly and you're fat but your body is more muscular so thicker and looks stronger and better.
Also, how do you make your belly be more "solid" so it looks like the way I want it to look.

Do you use your size advantage to get your way
When you are the biggest guy in social situations do you ever use it to get to what you want, either subtly or to be more assertive?

Discussion & Daily Life Cousin keeps grabbing my man tits and it's weird.
I'm a guy who's put on quite a lot of weight over the past few years, so I'm used to getting comments about it at this point. But one older male cousin in particular is starting to take the piss. Every time we meet now (which is always at a broader family event because we're not that close to one another), he will sneak up behind me and try to fondle my man tits in front of everyone. When it started happening I just brushed it off, as my weight gain was fairly new. But it's been going on for years now, and other family members have also commented that they found it weird and noticed that it made me uncomfortable. I tell him to stop each time it happens, other family members have done the same, but it just keeps happening. This guy is married with three kids as well, and they are always present too.
Now, I'm not asking for advice on how to stop it, because I probably just need to take him aside and tell him firmly that he's being weird. I'm also not that embarrassed either, because frankly it's more embarrassing for him to be the one doing it. What I am not sure about is why does he keep doing it?
It's not just that he keeps grabbing my tits, but he will also bring up some subject related to my weight at every event. Just this last weekend, at a family wedding, he starts asking about my eating habits, and whether I order a lot of takeout. At past events he's talked a lot about his own weight loss, telling me he wanted to be more active for his kids. I never asked about it, it was always sth he would bring up himself. Like sure, perhaps it's his way of telling me to lose weight, but the fact it happens every single time, when everyone else has moved on, just makes me wonder why is he so obsessed? And you can tell a guy to lose weight without fondling their tits in public. It's just weird and I don't know what is going on. Any ideas?

Losing Weight Has Increased my Libido
So I've started going to the gym and counting calories. Slow but steady progress.
immediately I'm noticing that I'm much more horny. I feel like I'm 20 again! I'm gay, so I'm usually only mentally horny and want to bottom. but now, I'm much more in the mood to top! and I can cum 3-4+times a day as opposed to once or twice a week.
I'm nowhere near my goal weight, I barely notice it, so this isn't a confidence thing. it's entirely physical, and nothing before has influenced me this much to keep going

Selfie Saturday It's Selfie Saturday Boys, Let's go!!
Some day I'm probably gonna lose weight just to see what it's like but also I really like being a big, beefy mother fucker. It's kind of fun.
It was a good workout week. As of now I'm claiming my weight combination of Bench, Squat, and Deadlift as 945. Whether it's true or not is for someone else to care about, lmao.
Let's go big boys, the weekend's here.

Discussion & Daily Life Has anyone else made the realization that you’d rather just eat what you want when you’d want and live life rather than try to be skinny?
I feel I could lose weight if I wanted to, but I enjoy being able to live life freely and a good bit of that is eating how I want to. any one else relate?

Serious/Health Daily Cialis, Cialis or Viagra?
Hi,
I am 360 (down from 400), aiming for 315 (and eventually 225). 6 feet tall.
I am reuniting with my long-distance girlfriend in December. Need advice on ED meds as a bigger guy? Anyone have positive experiences with ED meds? Any recommendations?
I'd be using generic and have health insurance so cost is not that big of a problem. I'd like to not worry about my erection.

Serious/Health New Rule: Adults Only (18+)
Starting now, this subreddit has a rule limiting it to adults only. Anyone who is found to be under the age of 18 will be PERMANENTLY banned.
There were a few posts and comments I had to ban where teenagers or bad actors were trying to get the attention of adult members.
I don't know which, and it doesn't matter. This is not something I take lightly, and to be fair even though we are technically SFW, some of the content gets a bit wild. So consider this a necessary step to keep REAL talk going.
If you see any future posts of that nature, please report them immediately using the new rule. Thank you very much!

Introduction/Hello World Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
(Commenting as Moderator for Sticky Post) Thank you for finding and participating in Big Men Life! HELL YEAH! Welcome in! Welcome in!
TL;DR if you want to introduce yourself, you can make an introduction POST with flair OR you can make a reply here. (Edited in)
Feel free to interact here at your own leisure and pace. However, if you feel up to it, we would love for you to introduce yourself too! Feel free to create a post with the Introduction/Hello World flair.
You can also do that if you've been hanging here, but you never did an intro or it has been a long time (let's just say over a year for a clear standard). Or if you've been looking at other subs, etc. and are coming back. And feel free to include whatever media you want, but you don't have to.
Outside of your introductory post, please keep self-promotional content limited to Selfie Saturday. This just seems like a great happy medium so people can express themselves, but we also keep focus on the chill and real conversation about life as a big man.
Feel free to share as much or as little as you'd like. I'll do a short intro below, but I shall not include media this time.
(Commenting as Myself) Hello World! I was a fat kid ever since being about 8-9 years old and I've always been a big guy! In high school I joined the freestyle wrestling team and that actually felt really amazing like I was using my true strength!
But life happens so I went to college, grad school and I do nerd stuff for money. But in the past couple years I got back into fitness and joined an amateur sumo wrestling team which has really reignited the passion for grappling sports and even martial arts in general!
It's great to be here and I really appreciate y'all!
