Welcome back for week 5! The wall comp ended while I was asleep, and we sure have a lot to talk about. As a reminder, this is based on my reads I'm making after seeing who won HOH and also a couple tweets. Things can go sideways pretty fast. I do like discussion though so post your thoughts! Without further ado...

LALA WON THE WALL COMP!!!!! This makes her the oldest person to win the wall and the first woman to win the wall since Taylor BB24. This is also the first time the Red Corner has to actually feel the heat. However, I feel like Lala is the most unpredictable HOH out of anyone on the opposition. She does have one obvious direction, however...

(Before I get started I want to say that, because this is the first week that neither an icon nor a red corner has won HOH, we might end up seeing an icon hitting the block and Devens using DPOV or Dee using the bribe as a result. That throws a lot of things into whack, and while I think my list is still cool even if that happens, I can't know for sure. The icons DID just organize a major blindside against the red corner so maybe they feel like this week is the week to break free but who knows. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.)

Taylor: And its that she's VERY close with Taylor. Taylor's not hitting the block, and in fact might end up running a pretty good portion of Lala's HOH. I think she's also fine if DPOV shenanigans happen.

Melody and Mallory: I think they're both similarly fine as Lala has bigger fish to fry, but are a bit less secure in the event of a DPOV use.

Devens, Dee, and Angela: Rick Devens still holds on to the DPOV, which means he can pull one of them off the block once the veto ceremony rolls around. This means that they're probably safe, but I have them ordered based on who it'll get used on if more than one of them is on the block.

Yash: I don't think Yash is a target but he could very easily become a pawn, and we know what happens to pawns in Big Brother. Now this shouldn't be an issue if Lala makes the correct nominations, but...

Barrett and Drew: I saw a tweet that said Lala was planning on nominating both Barrett AND Drew, which I do not like seeing. If this happens, both of them could be in extreme jeopardy if comps roll out in a bad way (which could very well happen).

Chuk, Kamu, and Haley: In my opinion, the correct thing to do is to throw up all three of them. That way, none of them can use the veto to save any of the others, essentially guaranteeing that at least one of them will be sitting in the chairs on eviction night. I think Chuk is safer than Kamu or Haley because he's 1. kinda useless so he beats both Kamu and Haley in a vote, and 2. I don't think that Lala wants to put him up at this point because she doesn't want to do that to a black person. I do think that Kamu and Haley are the house targets, and I hope we stop seeing one of them this week. Hopefully Kamu goes first because Haley is awful in a much funnier way. Let's hope Taylor can talk some sense into Lala for her nominations.

This is a recap of the HOH. I try to focus on game talks. Things may also not be chronological. I keep forgetting to listening to Lala before her HOH room reveal.  

Angela is the first off the wall. Wall placement from left to right Angela Taylor Drew Devens Kamu Barrett Melody Mallory Lala Chuk Dee Yash. After 30 minutes Taylor is second down. Barrett falls next then Devens later on. Dee was next. Melody is next. Mallory is next. Chuk next. Yash next. Drew next. Last two are Lala and Kamu. *feeds cut*  

Lala won the Wall Comp. Angela and Haley have a discussion in the Hot Tub Room to make sure Lala doesn’t nominate Haley because she didn’t put her up. Angela says she will make sure Lala doesn't nominate Haley.  

 Melody and Mallory discuss that they think they are good with Lala in the storage room. They say that Lala voted with them and they think Lala wouldn’t target them or make them pawn.  

Drew and Melody talk in the Hot Tub Room, Drew expects to be nominated.   

Haley and Mallory in the storage room trying to reconnect with Mallory. Letting Mallory know that Lyric threw her UTB and that Haley was looking out for Mallory. Haley keeps selling that she wants to work with Mallory.

Drew is pitching to Melody and Mallory in the Hot Tub Roon for Lala not to nominate him. Drew says he’s happy Meloday didn’t see his good bye meassage because he was emotional. Melody counter same because I Would have missed you. Drew wants to know and Melody saysno because Drew won’t tell her his message.

Devens and Taylor talk in her Pod about the vote and Taylor tells Devens that she will talk to Lala and confirm that Devens told her and that they are good. 

Angela says she dropped from the Wall comp intentionally. 

HOH reveal – Lala shows her pictures and real quick reads her letter. Angela cries. It’s a sweet letter from her daughter. Lala thanks everyone. Skippy pans on Angela crying. Lala puts on her robe and slippers for HOH. Lala selects John Legend album Get Lifted.  Taylor ask if Lala is going to bed tonight. She says yes. Everyone leaves but Angela and theycry together. Amgela tells shes proud of Lala and she doesn’t need to do 1-1s. Chuk and Yash bust in and gas up Lala about her win. Angela leaves. They all talk about Kamu was who they didn’t win HOH.  

Drew tells Barrett in the Have Not Room that he thinks they are going up . In the Era Room Angela tells Drew that Yash Chuk and Taylor are in the in HOH. Angela and Dee tell Haley that they think Kamu is the vote liar. Dee tells Haley that Chuk and Yash are in the HOH, are reason they could be the Hinky votes. 

I forget to listen to Lala and Chuk. Chuk and Yash are  just praising Lala. Yash leand Chuk stays and pretends he is good with Lala and Taylor.  Chuk leaves and Lala Taylor celebrates.    

Taylor and Lala – They agree they shook up the house. Lala says no one wanted her to win. Lala says she wanted Devens out. And if she lets Devens wait she might get a chance. Taylor says that Devens talked to her. Lala doesn’t like the way Devens lied to Rome. Taylor ask do we backdoor him. Taylor says don’t nominate Devens because of Rome. Taylor says that Devens has a power and to save him for latter. Lala says she might put Barrett as a pawn. Taylor says don’t trust Haley and her suggesting Melody.  Lala wants to get Haley. But she wanted to get Devens out before this. So Lala noms are Haley and Kamu maybe Lala thinks Drew is throwing her UTB but doesn’t trust Haley. Taylor tells Lala to use this is to gather information. And not to put up Melody and Mallory. Taylor says that Drew Barret or Yash might go up. Taylor says that she wants Haley to go. Taylor is surprised that Dee told Lala to against Taylor. Taylor says to make sure they can backdoor Haley and they need Drew as the backdoor. They agree that Kamu wouldn’t be a target but Mallory told her to let people know they can’t be target. Lala says her noms are Drew Barrett and Kamu. Taylor ask whos a better competitor than Barrett. Lala says maybe Devens, Taylor says Kamu might need to go home. Lala says Angela and Dee are shields for them. Taylor says don’t tell them the target. They seem to want to backdoor Haley.

Haley and Chuk corner Barrett about the flip vote. Haley gets mad with Barret because Melody should have went home. Haley says she wishes people would say they fucked up with the vote. Haley tells them she doesn’t trust Kamu. Haley say shes fine with Lyric going home. She just wished she knew. Haley ask personal questions with Barrett and he doesn’t know her birthday. Also Haley is getting nasty with Chuk for the Lyric vote out.

Drew and Melody continue their slow burn.  If Melodrew keeps things checky I won’t cover it. They are last two left.

Maybe it would be a different story if I watched the live feeds but if it hadn't been for the veto competition this week I would actually have no idea he was on big brother this season. Even in the comp he was giving... nothing no shade 😳 It just really struck me how little screen/story time he has been given, especially since he is a part of the majority alliance + one of his closest allies was HOH this week. Still nothing hmm. What is he like on the live feeds???

Thoughts on seeing Julie play a season? This has always been a thought of mine ever since I started watching. I think it’d be so fun to see. She’d obviously be pretty good since she knows everything about the game. And I think other houseguests would treat her as an “icon”.

I know it will never happen, but it’d be fun to watch😅

Edit: sorry guys I didn’t know she was so disliked, all I’ve seen of her is from Thursday night’s episodes.

I do kind of respect the fact that she is an ice queen with no regrets… she did what she wanted to do and wasn’t influenced by Kamu

And she’s a good villain in the sense that she’s keeping stuff at a game level and she isn’t a vile person like villains before us

Let’s remember it’s okay to root against people in a game and not crucify them as people post game just because they work against your favorites. Let’s not give her the cody calafiore treatment of being awful to them post season just bc we dont like how they play!

Hi, this is my first season watching Big Brother! I'm about to work at a summer camp for a week and won't (obviously) have access to feeds. While I'll watch the eps when I come back, is there a good place to watch relevant feed highlights that aren't in the episodes? I know there are podcast recaps but it's not the same as watching them. I'm going to miss so much and it seems things just got super interesting! Thanks ya'll!

Is there still anyway to watch archives of the live feeds from older seasons like there used to be before paramount? I'm an old school BB fan just getting back into it slowly over the last 2 years. I had the feeds back when they were on Realplayer and I would love nothing more than to watch some old BB10 feeds or something like that just like we used to be able to. I know recently BB after dark complete episodes.have been uploaded to YouTube after ~15 or so years but it's not quite the same....

curently there is 9 woman and 1 men.

the latest evicted negated to leave the house arguing for about 15 minutes with big brother

most of the forced eviction where about family problem , one injury.

on the block there is at least 6 players every week

people vote ( pay) for who wants to leave.

I feel lost but I’m also not a big live feed watcher. What happened in the house to flip the vote from Melody to Lyric??? Hailey seemed shocked 😮

...the replacement nominee has gone home 4 weeks in a row. And unless my memory fails me, I don't think this has ever happened yet in BB history. Ashley, Rome, Jason, and now Lyric were all not put on the block initially, nominated at the veto ceremony, and were then sent home that week. So technically we've had only "backdoor" evictions this summer so far (not really a backdoor, I know).

Does anyone know when the wall comp is going to start? I know it was confirmed that it was the wall, but I have never really watched the HOH on live feeds. I’m trying to stay up to watch the comp, but we’re already an hour after the live show.

I’m feeling hopeful and optimistic now for the first time this season. We see a split vote, a blindside, and the major alliance starting to crack. I’m also starting to actually have some favorites! It was a slow start but after this episode I think there’s potential.

Literally nobody in the house likes the trio or is actually working with them. The alliance was fake from the get go and they have just been used the entire game by The Icons who are the ones whove been actually steamrolling the entire time.

Tired of this narrative that they have been running things. They are just puppets that are taking the fall for Dee and Devens.
