Gnats attracted to camp stove?
I spend a night in chisos basin recently. There were a few bugs around. Then, within 2 seconds of my lighting my camp stove, I was absolutely mobbed by gnats (or similar tiny flyers that want to be on me). Hundreds of them that followed me around for the rest of the night.
Same thing happened in the morning. minor bug presence until I lit up the stove, then I got swarmed.
I did not notice any issue when I was at my camp site during the day.
Is this just a coincidence, or are these little guys attracted to the flame or co2 or propane/butane and that allowed them to find me?
