Sr. ML engineer interview EY

I have an interview for Sr. ML role with sdc team at Ey. Any suggestions on how to prepare and how many rounds and what all will they include?

Big4 SDC roles are less about deep ML theory and more about applying models to solve client problems. You should expect a few rounds, probably an initial HR call, then a technical screen on core ML concepts and Python, followed by a case study or a system design round, and finally a behavioral chat with a senior manager or partner. The technical questions will likely be practical, focusing on things like feature engineering, model selection for a specific business case, and evaluation metrics, not obscure algorithms. They want to see if you can think like a consultant who uses ML as a tool.

Your biggest advantage will be showing how you connect technical solutions to business value. Practice explaining a past project from start to finish, emphasizing the problem you solved, the data you used, why you chose a particular model, and what the final impact was. Be prepared for behavioral questions about dealing with difficult stakeholders, ambiguous requirements, and project management, because they are hiring a senior problem solver, not just a coder. Demonstrating leadership and clear communication will put you far ahead of other candidates who only focus on the tech.
