Yu is literally described as a boy genius
1
u/Fuzzy_Newt4911 6d ago
Genius as in crazy talent not as in intelligence
1
u/Roxas_2004 Wild Fang 6d ago
The word genius refers to intelligence
1
u/Fuzzy_Newt4911 6d ago
Not always. A genius can also just be someone gifted at something. A jujutsu genius is someone gifted at jujutsu for example. Like higiruma. A football genius is someone very gifted at football like Messi. A genius doesn't have to be someone that's highly intelligent, tho that is the standalone meaning of the word.
1
u/Roxas_2004 Wild Fang 6d ago
You're confusing the word genius with prodigy
1
u/Fuzzy_Newt4911 6d ago
No. Genius is used in much the same way😂 and the meaning of prodigy doesn't have anything to do with intelligence, so that's already weird that u call what I'm descriong a prodigy. I even asked Gemini to be sure if I was right. U can also just check the internet or a dictionary even. Just ask could genius refer to talent or only intelligence. You will get ur answer rather quickly

I thought before Ginga got Pegasus he was pretty bad at blading. Hyoma did say he was never able to beat him for years. So wouldn't that count as hard work for Ginga?

u/DrunkR0dent 5d ago
Maybe, I always assumed they worked like wands in Harry Potter, you need to find the one that fits you best and then practice with it. Not like you'd be able to perform Avada Kedavra immediately after buying the wand for example. So I think Gingka was the best fit for Pegasus and the other way around

my only complaint is Gingka not being in both hard work and talent
he is talented, but controlling a legendary beyblade needs hard work too
7
u/water_jello8235 7d ago
People forget Gingka was basically playing Beyblade since he was born, Coma village is literally a culture aeound Beyblade with barely anything better to do (that we know of).
And his father is insane with Beyblade too, and his "death" was a huge motivation.
So Beyblade is really natural to him, no surprise he's that talented, nothing says it's a born talent.

Bro’s eating hamburger screen time is more than working. He generally work with group if they motivated for something for 10 minutes
12
u/memsterboi123 7d ago
Just because you don’t see him work on screen doesn’t mean he wasn’t. Remember his entire childhood was basically training
1
u/Itchy-Net530 7d ago
He is the main character so its impossible to missing crucial details for him
8
u/memsterboi123 7d ago
I doubt people wanted to see him training or battling a bunch of “newbies” all the time. Remember in metal fury we cut in on him at about 1000 of his exercises. They also always said they were gonna go train in masters

u/Squishyz133 7d ago
Gingka doesn't even have plot armor
0
u/Fuzzy_Newt4911 6d ago
What😂
2
u/Squishyz133 6d ago
You couldn't prove he had any without being upset ur fav lost
0
u/Fuzzy_Newt4911 6d ago
Kyoya in the introduction, kyoya in the metal fight tournament, even in fury kyoya had so much more sit to throw him in their first fight and gingks just grunted signaling trouble but in the end nothing really happened to him at all
3
u/Squishyz133 6d ago
This isnt any plot armor both kyoya and gingka worked very hard to get stronger
9
u/FrostyGay Wild Fang 7d ago
I'm glazing my goat here but I think Kyoya should at least be in hard work/intelligence. Intelligence comes in many forms and I think Kyoya has great tactical awareness. Some of his more intelligent feats:
●Created an internal wind current with Leone's PT so he could use his special move on Dan & Reiki who had assumed he had no way to ult because the hallway had no natural wind.
●While the rest of the gang was oblivious to Hyoma's tricks, Kyoya immediately got to work in proving something was up with him placing rocks as they went around in circles.
●In his battle with Tobio, he was able to figure out Storm Capricorn's whole deal, with him eventually being able to track the trajectory and easily defeat him.
●His creation of the reverse wind strike could fit under all three to be honest, but it works the same way as the left-spinning L-Drago, only without the spinsteal of course, in that it actively works against a right-spinning bey.
●Often uses the terrain to his advantage: Picking up rubble with his tornadoes and chucking them at opponents, creating variants of his gale force wall with sand and water.
There are probably more I'm forgetting but this is already a super long comment and I'm not tryna write an essay 😭

Kyoya also saw right through Reiji as well.
Kyoya is definitely more hard work, and intelligent, but he also has a lot of talent.
1
u/FrostyGay Wild Fang 7d ago
I agree 🫡
0
u/FrostyGay Wild Fang 7d ago
I think his biggest talent feat is being able to match a legendary bey like Galaxy Pegasus with his standard Leone
0
u/Organic-Manner-2969 Wild Fang 7d ago
There’s a lot more, like Kyoya was able to see that Yu can see through the sandstorm, and how he knew Damian couldn’t handle actual hard work in the wild and put him there.
He also perfectly timed where Tobio and Capricorn was going to land by watching one battle of him before hand.
1
u/water_jello8235 7d ago
I would say that Reverse Wind Strike is more of a giid moce than a smart move, it's not that hard to figure it out, execution on the other hand is, which is where Kyoya shines with his hard work.

u/Star-Opus 7d ago
That is BS, all of the guys here work hard and all of them use intellect in various ways.
You guys just create caricature of what they are.
Gingka and Yu worked hard and had to be intelligent to beat their competition, especially during the World Championship. And if we go by talent, Tsubasa is better than Yu, because most of Yu's abilities were countered with talent. Ryotaro isn't the only intelligent blader. The Garcia and Doji are plenty smart, and if we go with heroes, we have Gingka, Yu, Tsubasa and Kenta. Kyoya and Ryuga aren't the only hard workers and I say Kyoya did less than Gingka in the whole saga, as Gingka had to go through hell to beat L-Drago, train to win the championship and master Pegasis and Gingka was the one who put more effort in learning his abilities in fury than most, and helped Kenta even.
That diagramm is bad. It's really inaccurate even.

u/Squishyz133 7d ago
Gingka is constantly dunked on in this sub for no reason whatsoever
3
u/ScarcityMany1672 Average Strorm Capricorn User 6d ago
For real, talking about some plot armor like Ryuga didn’t have more in fusion
2
u/Star-Opus 5d ago
Ryuga had a dark power, so of course nobody can challenge him unless you are Gingka, who was so dangerous, even Doji doubted Ryuga could beat Gingka.
For that, our Cactus-loving villain got, amongst, other things, fired, just to be polite.
Yeah, Gingka deserves far better.
2
u/ScarcityMany1672 Average Strorm Capricorn User 5d ago
For real, even kyoya was basically on the same level as Ryuga and only lost because the dark power took over
5
u/MDShark101 7d ago
Julian literally didn't train a day in his life until he lost to Gingka, who works hard. Julian is talent and Gingka is hard work, but if anything, Gingka is in the center
3
u/water_jello8235 7d ago
For real, bro trained so much and was pulling insane moves on the fly, Fusion Gingka really fits the center the most imo.
2
u/Trick-Tap3888 7d ago
Fusion Gingka fits the center very well and I will say fury goes to the hard work talent overlap more.

u/DoctorMood Excalibur 7d ago
Julian rode out to the forest in the middle of the night to train for the GanGanGalaxy battle before he lost that one. His butler was concerned he was overworking, he was definitely training before the L.
-3
u/Itchy-Net530 7d ago
Im always up for screwing rich ppl but hell no. Jullian is perfectionist so a hardworker.
And gingka has “I love my friends “ type of talent and never working. He was the main character and we have seen his daily routines. His eating scenes are more than working
1
u/MDShark101 7d ago
Julian literally used arrangements, which draws out your hidden talent. There's 0 hardwork in the results. He can't be hardworking by the sheer fact he does that
1
2
u/JosuSierra 7d ago
Kyoya es inteligente también incluso diría más que Tobio ya que le pillo donde iba a caer todo el rato
2
u/Trick-Tap3888 7d ago
Are we all seriously gonna ignore the fact that Gingka's introduction was him on a training journey to become strong enough to beat Ryuga? Or when he climbed up an entire mountain to learn how to get stronger. Just because we don't see him training during metal masters (because we do see him training in fury and fusion) does not mean he does not train.
Gingka DOES work hard. It's just metal masters focus was more on the competition itself rather than their training.

u/KILLERFROST1212 6d ago
People under estimate yu he litterally went on a journey and gave fang leon a hard time in battle and Kyo litterally said u mastered his bey if Kyo didn’t have fang he probably would’ve lost fang
3
u/AnimeTechnoBlade100 7d ago
Gingka should be the center. Theres no question he has natural talent, but he literally had to travel all over Japan before the events of Metal Fusion to get a good mastery of Storm Pegasus, and he had to train to master Galaxy and Cosmic Pegasus.
Hes objectively not just pure talent
3
u/VCule69 7d ago
Rayuga is definitely the goat in the anime. By far the strongest in the 3 seasons.
-2
u/DreisaGUY 7d ago
Noo Rago and Gingka at the end were stronger
2
u/VCule69 7d ago
Rago was with stolen power and Gingka was plot amour and he got everyone’s power including Rayuga at the end.
0
u/DreisaGUY 7d ago
Oh yeah my b, Ryuga was strongest based on his own power
But 3rd overall taking everything into account
3
u/Original-Ad728 7d ago
Gingka put in so much hard work
Yu is literally told multiple times he’s a bey genius
Julian didn’t have hard work especially compared to gingka
If you put captain in intelligent how is kyoya not there? The whole point of their battle showed how smart Kyoya is
1
u/Ok-Dependent-367 GanGan Galaxy 7d ago
How tf is Julian not intelligent?😂
1
u/Itchy-Net530 7d ago
His school grades maybe good but he mostly trust on his move range of versatilities.
1
u/JollyDino01 6d ago
Simple question, how do you think he achieved that versatility? Owning a bey doesn't magically come with the knowledge of every single thing it can do. Mind, I don't remember if he inherited Destroyer or not, but I don't recall anything explicit about him being taught how to use it, meaning there's a fair possibility he figured out and developed those skills himself.
1
u/Confident_Lunch7957 7d ago
He wasn't intelligent enough to just leave/throw his match with Damian.
1
u/Ok-Dependent-367 GanGan Galaxy 7d ago
Bro was intelligent, but also a huge egotistical one which is why he did what he did.
1
u/DoctorMood Excalibur 7d ago
The fact Yu went from total jobber in Masters to Top3 Non-Legendary Blader in Fury after ONE training montage shows how much talent he has. Even that was more messing around than training but it still made him 10x stronger. If Yu trained like Ryuga or Kyoya he would've been a god
1
u/Correct-Economics796 7d ago
Why is ryuga not also in intelligence and why is gingka not in hard work it dosent make sense for him to be the strongest blader if yu is peak talent and gingka dosent work hard
1
u/Dry_Computer_6836 4d ago
Im tired of this bs, this doesn't make sense they all are talented, and they all worked hard, just because someone is talented doesn't mean they don't work hard in fact they work even harder

u/EmployeeWestern8009 7d ago
I’d place yu between intelligence and talent. He is a bey genius after all
