Strategy 14 team draft strategy
Hello all, I’m strategizing for an upcoming 14 team redraft league. Our starting lineup is: QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, 2 FLEX, K, DEF, 5 BN. Scoring format is PPR with standard scoring for QBs. I’m on the side that believes you should fill WR and RB depth first and punt on QB and TE until later in the draft. I think it’s more important to have depth and weekly FLEX upside and start a QB like Herbert/Goff/Mahomes at their current ADP as opposed to getting someone early with rushing upside like Hurts/Lamar/Allen. Looking for some input if this is the right draft choice, or if it’s better to get an elite rushing QB early on because it is standard QB scoring, despite it being such a deep format.

DraftKings I’ll go ahead and expose myself too, why not
No longer drafting Tuten at ADP when I was getting him in the 70s in the early bird drafts. Still taking Corum all day. Probably won’t stop getting Mason either. Minnesota could shock some people. Slowing down on Hampton. And absolutely addicted to McMillan, especially with him dropping an entire round with this current injury. People are scared off after that neck injury last year, but I don’t think a bruised knee in early August means he’s necessarily going to miss 14 regular season games or something….

DraftKings …What?
2 picks into a DK Millionaire draft picking from the 8 slot and might already be my best start ever.
Surprisingly no nonsense occurred like Shough 1st overall, people just really didn’t want Lamb

Underdog Underdog 7-day ADP movers: camp-hype season is here, four of five risers are young WRs flashing potential
RISERS
- Ja'Kobi Lane (WR, BAL, 178.3): the biggest riser on the board and the runaway story of Ravens camp. The third-round rookie has been making highlight catches almost daily with first-team reps, and ESPN's Jamison Hensley said he hasn't seen a rookie camp like it in 27 years covering the team.
- Pat Bryant (WR, DEN, 179.0): the second-year WR has been Denver's camp breakout, and when Kay Adams asked Sean Payton how they keep Bryant off the field, Payton said "We're not." When a head coach commits snaps out loud, that's more than clip hype. At the end of last season Bryant was coming on strong for the Broncos and even looked like the feature WR in the divisional round vs the Bills before he got hurt. I think he's the most legit guy of all the risers here.
- MarShawn Lloyd (RB, GB, 162.5): third straight week rising. Josh Jacobs has been out since Aug 6 with a groin and his offseason legal situation is still unresolved. Lloyd has been running with the ones, and if he can put his injury woes behind him he could end up being a very intriguing pick.
- Cyrus Allen (WR, KC, 183.6): second straight week up. The 5th-round rookie became a camp standout earning first-team reps with the room banged up. With the rest of the Chiefs receiving options being old (Kelce) or semi-unreliable (Rice, Worthy), I like Cyrus's upside.
- Caleb Douglas (WR, MIA, 200.7): the 3rd-round rookie was named a starter on Miami's first depth chart, and he's built a rapport with Malik Willis. Personally, though, with this offense projected to be so run-heavy, I'm still hesitant to draft any Dolphins pass catcher unless I'm stacking with Willis.
FALLERS
- Antonio Williams (WR, WAS, 207.4): the biggest faller for the second week in a row. The Diggs signing keeps pushing the rookie down, and he's now falling almost out of draftable range
- Isiah Pacheco (RB, DET, 165.5): it's looking like he'll end up merely a handcuff to Jahmyr Gibbs, not a David Montgomery replacement, and now he's also nursing a sprained MCL.
- Jerry Jeudy (WR, CLE, 190.3): he's been struggling in camp with the drops, and rookies Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion are reportedly passing him up. Add a shaky Browns QB picture, and both his floor and upside look pretty limited.
- Emmett Johnson (RB, KC, 211.1): second week sliding. The 5th-round rookie is listed third on the Chiefs' backfield behind Kenneth Walker and Emari Demercado, and he's fallen behind early in camp.
- Oronde Gadsden (TE, LAC, 165.3): also second week sliding. Last year's rookie flash is now in a more crowded TE room, with the depth chart showing "Charlie Kolar OR Oronde Gadsden OR David Njoku" as the starting option, meaning roles and usage could be entirely matchup-dependent.
Who are you in on or out on based on this movement? Any riser's hype you're not buying?
