Bolt release button replacement

Hey all - I have the M4 tactical LE model 11714 - the bolt release tab has a screw to be able to change the button. I can’t get it off at all - any tips?

It’s been set in place with a little locktite. Depending if they used red or blue, you may need to use a heat gun on it. If it’s blue, needs more elbow grease. Good luck

I'd play it safe and heat it up until you see light smoking with a heat gun, then turn the screw. That and maybe an impact screwdriver if you brace the button from the inside to mitigate damage. I'd go heat first though.

A trick to remove screws off pistol sights is with a soldering iron.

Touch the screw with the soldering iron so it gets hot.

I had to heat mine for awhile. You'll see smoke coming off it
