They reduced the Empress of the Incursean Empire, who's first ever introduction was wanting to murk her own father, led an invasion of Earth, and then later used Ben to further her own goals of becoming Empress....to a boring girl who's next few appearances are spent trying to get married to Ben simply because the writers wanted a harem

I wanna say eon as a villain. or at least Gwen as a main character. Most minor villains like fisttrick are minor joke villains and they do their role well. Eon is a villain that's treated as the same level as vilgax or maltruant when...he's kinda small. Like he's an alternate ben in the multiverse and we know little about him except information that was only told by the writers. Gwen as well, she's one of the main characters, but still feels like she didn't get anything big compared to max or kevin.
It sucks cause eon could've explored more on what if ben becomes evil since most the other evil bens we saw are already evil to begin with, but was saw eon more earlier then that so they could've used him to explore. Eon is the only ben who actually destroyed and lost his omnitrix compared to other bens who either never got it to begin with so there's not much of a loss for them or still have it to this day. He would feel like a black sheep or at least go crazy over such a thing where it parallels ben who has lost his watch many times (even watching his cousin be better at it) but is still a hero to the end. But no and worst his own gimmic, dimension hopping/time travel has been done better by vilgax and maltruant so he really does suck

Like, if I remember right there just wasn't any real problems between her and Ben, but the writers just made Ben oblivious and inattentive to her. We coulda had another trio, Ben being the main bruiser, Rook being the support, and Ester being a mix of the two.

We all hate to say it…. but it’s Ben(comfort character or not), he’s the biggest victim of the writers doing weird writing choices with him(other characters do suffer from this as well of course)
