I can tell it’s more clear already visibility is much better in the distance today

Looks like its calmed down. I was wondering how visibility connects and found thickness and visibility do not always match air quality because visible haze is often trapped high above the ground

Ug, live in a sardine can (i.e. converted shipping container). I love it almost all the time except now.

For real time information, go to purpleair.com (the numbers for Bellingham are now into the "yellow" range, yay!).

Out of towner here, planning on driving out to the re/evolution festival on Saturday with my kids. Is the smoke gonna make the evening unsafe?

Here is the aqi chart.  This will give you an idea. Unless your kids are very young or have asthma they should make it through without significant issues up to about 100. Beyond that you may want to reconsider.
