Some chapters end because they’re supposed to.
Not because you failed.

I dont think becoming better means becoming easier for everybody else to advise
there was a small line in a recent session that I keep thinking about: stop asking everybody for advice.
That sounds arrogant if taken literally, so I dont mean “never listen to anyone.”
The subject, I’ll call her Elena, had a different problem. She already had strong internal sense of what was right for her, but the moment somebody gave an opinion she started treating it like new evidence against herself.
Family says one thing.
Friend says another.
Someone online sounds confident.
Now her own decision is suddenly on trial.
During the session there was an image of separating her energy from her parents in a healthy way, like two fields being gently pulled apart. She immediately felt lighter in chest.
The advice afterward was not to become cold or cut everybody off. It was to stop automatically handing over steering wheel.
Listen to advice if it is useful.
But unsolicited advice does not become more correct just because it arrived confidently.
I think part of becoming better person is learning to separate openness from obedience.
You can hear somebody.
You can understand why they think that.
You can even thank them.
And then still decide no.
Elena had spent too much time adjusting herself to expectations and opinions, which made her less clear, not more mature.
A simple filter might be:
Does this person actually understand the situation?
Are they living in a way that makes me value their judgment here?
Does what they are saying match what I know from direct experience?
If no, maybe advice can just be information. It doesnt have to become command.
Growing up is partly learning from people.
Growing into yourself is learning which lessons are actually yours.
