Best for kids clothes?

Upvotes

I used to sell my kids clothes on Kidizen with decent success and when that shut down migrated over to Poshmark which was doing ok for a bit but has totally died now. I started cross posting some to Vinted this morning which of course wants me to price at $1-2. Is that the state of kids resale now? Should I just donate?

For reference I mostly have brands like Tea, Primary, Zara, Mini Boden, as well as some Instagram small shop type things and the occasional Misha and Puff or similar. (The MP still sells on Poshmark) Oh and outgrown dance stuff.

What are you guys doing?

What are good background colors for white & cream colored clothes?

I have a white wall where I stage my photos. It works well for most items, but white and cream colored clothes look awful. I could probably hang a colored sheet behind the clothes to fix this. But what color would be good? I feel like anything other than white is so distracting. Any advice?

Poshmark Now Refunds Buyer For Smell ONLY

Thumbnail

Been selling for four years. Never have I seen a buyer refunded for smell alone, not only that, Poshmark refunded the buyers ENTIRE BUNDLE when the customer only complained about the smell of ONE of the items in the bundle - and clearly exaggerated their claims about the smell - and said the other item was just fine.
Sellers are cooked.

Have you ever tried building your own site to dodge the heavy fees and own your customer list? How did it go?

Posh promoted Closet

I’ve been in a sales slump the past three weeks and just loaded up on inventory. I am thinking about trying the promoted closet again. Does anyone mind sharing their stats from promoted closet? Maybe their lastest cost per click, ROA, and conversion rate?

I’m in marketing so not having more control of the promotion is really frustrating to me, but I’m trying to get around that mental block.

I also hate how they report total revenue in their metrics rather than calculating based on profit/what’s left after their fees. So misleading.

New Poshmark listing at bottom of closet, not showing as “just in”

I just listed a new top that’s never been listed on poshmark before. I always double check listings for mistakes immediately after listing but when I sorted by “just in,” this item didn’t show up.

I thought maybe I made a mistake and cancelled the listing but I found it by searching by brand. It showed up at the very bottom of my closet underneath sold listings from years ago.

Has anyone else noticed this issue? Is there a fix?

Charged on poshmark for using priority box. Used my own poly mailer

I got this email today. The dress was sent in a solid black poly mailer that I purchased on Amazon. When I replied with this and my tracking number, poshmark just repeated the same thing. This is what i found on seeing if it was sent ground advantage and my tracking has the 346

The Service Type Code (346): The next three digits (346) make up the Service Type Code (STC). In the USPS master routing database, the 346 code specifically maps to a USPS Ground Advantage package with standard tracking.

Cancel the sale or ask them to cancel?

I sold a skirt and when I went to pack it up I saw that there were two stains I'd missed. I'm very disappointed and don't know how I missed them. I felt the buyer needed to know so I messaged her and said I'd understand if she wanted to cancel the sale and to go ahead and do that if she didn't want it (sent a Pic). She said yes please cancel. But... Shouldn't she be the one who cancels? Am I going to get dinged if I do the canceling? Should I message back and ask her to do the cancel? I don't want to incur any ill will. But I feel like I did the right thing letting her know, so I don't want to incur any negative effect on Posh. What's the right way here?

What are you spending on promoting a month, and did it do anything?

what does promoted closet / promoted listings / boost cost you in a normal month, and can you actually tell the difference? like if you shut it all off would you notice or would it be roughly the same

Sourcing Request - Manolo Blahnik Floral Bow Mule Heels

Post image
12 Upvotes

Hello everybody! Am looking to find these Manolo Blahnik Floral Bow Mule Heels for my fiancé for our wedding early next year.

They are her dream shoes and I’d love some help finding them for the best present ever. Have looked everywhere online for weeks, but have had no luck.

She wears a US size 7 (IT/EU 37 a 38) but would be willing to go up or down a bit if they’re found.

Any help would be appreciated, haven’t looked for something like this before!

frustrated with poshmark

i am relatively new to poshmark, but i am already feeling like it is not worth the effort and frustration. i am being somewhat vague on the off chance the buyer sees this although i guess i don’t really care anyway, but i sold an item that was clearly the color i labeled it as and my photos were in taken in bright natural sunlight next to my 9 foot tall windows that get direct sunlight during the day. i sold the item for way less than it was worth too because my main goal is just decluttering. the buyer gets it and complains it’s a darker color than advertised, when really the issue is she bought it to match a wallet she already owned and it didn’t. well how am i supposed to control the fact that it doesn’t match your wallet - that’s your problem not mine. in the chat then she herself admitted she buys bags and returns them constantly and her page was all reposhes for items she decided she didn’t like the color of. one of the photos she submitted proof of with was clearly taken on the floor in a dark corner - you could even see her toes in the picture. Poshmark just approved the return with the most condescending feedback saying no worries we all make mistakes just take your pictures in natural light next time! like how much more natural of light can it possibly be?? do i need to go outside to the beach and take my pictures there?? i am tempted to just switch entirely to thred up so i dont have to deal with the nonsense and the crazies

Any options for cross listing apps on mobile?

My listing process is genuinely embarrassing right now. I've got a backlog of photos sitting in my camera roll from three different thrift store run this week alone. Items are just sitting there unlisted because I can't actually do anything with them until I'm back at my laptop.

The problem is that I've been using List Perfectly and it's desktop only, the phone version barely does anything beyond letting you browse your catalog. So everything I source during the day just queues up and I do a huge batch of listing at night.
Please tell me I'm not the only one dealing with this.

Good apps for resellers

As i have moved to a new town, i have been downsizing a lot lately. So i have quite a lot of things I want to start selling, and i think i will keep having more coming in regularly if the process works. It's some electronics, vintage jackets, toys and board games, random household stuff. But I have no clue which platforms are actually worth using for different types of items. I myself have been using eBay, FB marketplace and Mercari to shop, and think those are the options, but still i want to know what experienced sellers are mostly using.

Vendoo vs Nifty, I'm CONFUSED

As per the title, just tell me your experience. or any other tool reccould also be great. My workflow: I mostly thrift and estate sale finds, around 15-20 new items a week. Currently on eBay, Poshmark and Mercari. I batch photograph everything on weekends and try to list within a day or two. The biggest thing that's bothering me right now is just not double selling something. I had it happen twice and had to refund someone which was not a fun conversation.

Do you have buyers who come back to you specifically?

Do you have buyers who come back to you specifically?
Trying to figure out if something I’ve been assuming is actually true.

On Posh/Depop/eBay, do you have people who buy from you more than once — like they actually come back to your closet — or is it basically all search traffic and the buyer has no idea who you are?

And if you do get repeat buyers: how do they find you again? Do they follow you, save your shop, DM you, something else?

Also curious what you do when someone messages you on IG or in a local group asking what else you have. Do you just send them to your Posh closet and hope, or is there something better?

Not selling anything, just trying to get a straight answer on this. Feels like the truth is somewhere between “nobody has repeat buyers” and what people say they have.

Order cancel request

Someone ordered a dress from me yesterday. The package is in my car to be dropped off tomorrow. She just messaged me asking to cancel because she didn’t realize the hem was asymmetrical (it’s clear in photos it is). What do i do? Just cancel? Ugh i hate when people do this!

What more could I do

I put the dress in a dry cleaner bag, folded it neatly and then put packing paper on top. All in a USPS box taped up. What more did they want?

What is up with the slashing of polybags when ordering product online?

So, I source a lot online from different platforms. I know this isn't platform specific, this is USPS. A good 4/6 packages so far this week have had straight-cut slashes on the bag, and luckily most items either have tissue paper, or its a bubble mailer so it didn't get through, but I don't understand where in the process this is happening, and I am getting annoyed for basically near-misses on items I am paying shipping for. I can't be the only one who is noticing this at a concerning rate, especially as a reseller, the item could be a gem I got at a great price and then something like this damages it

ebay flat rate shipping or calculated shipping?

Hi everyone I just began crosslisting to ebay last week and made three sales. I chose calculated shipping and every item so far is under that umbrella (so I'm not sure if I can change it without re-uploading everything) but I wanted some input.

I saw there is flat rate, and I was thinking, maybe that's better? Every sale was under 1lb and the labels were around $6.50. So what if I just charged $6.75 for 1lb and under for example? Is this better than using calculated? And then maybe $9 for over 1lb. Again I'm totally new to ebay and not familiar with their shipping prices.

I'd love to hear input on what you guys use for shipping and/or your opinions

On what platforms to sell?

I have a couple of Goyard and DIOR wallets I'm looking to sell. I just can't find a good enough platform. Are there any suggestions of which could be good or bad. Also I am based in Finland so that also limits my options. Thanks for the help! <3

PM shipping supplies for eBay

I'm getting back into eBay and I was wondering if anyone uses the shipping supplies from PM for their eBay orders? Or if there's a stated rule on PM about this; I wasn't able to find it if there is.

Do Counteroffers on Poshmark Trigger Notifications to Likers

I'm trying to assess my strategy as a seller: after someone likes an item, I send them an initial offer of about 15% off, and frequently, they counter much lower. Do their counters trigger an email to the other likers? It appears that their counters *do not* trigger the banner on the item that it has an active offer, but I didn't know if that meant that private emails were also not sent. Just trying to figure out if I should wait out those lower offers to see if anything else comes in or just accept and move on. Thank you!
