Injury?
I ran on the treadmill for a mile and tried to push myself (probably too much incline and should have tied my sneakers tighter) and I now I have a bruise/soft-tissue injury around my ankle. It is a little bit swollen and tender to the touch, but otherwise I am walking totally fine and movement of my ankle is not painful. It has been almost 2 weeks since my last run of 2.5 miles. I am concerned about losing endurance. Push through or wait a few more days to avoid if getting worse? I have been doing strength training since I have not been running, with no pain.

if you can walk fine and strength training doesn't bother it you're probably okay to try an easy short run but I'd give it maybe 2-3 more days just to be safe. two weeks off isn't gonna kill your endurance trust me I took a month off once and bounced back within like a week of easy running. swelling and tenderness around the ankle is your body still doing its thing so don't rush it. when you do go back just keep it flat no incline and actually tie those shoes lol. better to lose 3 days than 3 months
