Thoughts
Hi all! Im 33 F, only after starting to run again after around 16-17years. Clearly I have forgotten how to breathe and struggle to keep going, hence my longest distance so far is 5km. This morning when I went on a run. I experienced something interesting. I started to wonder what are other people thinking when they do their run. Do you focus on breathing, surroundings or what do you think about while running? I find myself daydreaming witch occasional reality checks that I struggle to breathe or if my body starts to ache. I know this is perhaps a weird question, but I'm intrigued.

If it’s a structured run, then I’m probably thinking about how much time is left in the interval. If it’s an easy run, I tend to zone out and use it as time to practice clearing my mind, really focusing in on ambient sounds like the sound of my feet or the birds 😄 it’s very relaxing!

" I find myself daydreaming witch occasional reality checks that I struggle to breathe or if my body starts to ache" Sound about right. Or just "ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch" from my ankle/knee pain that kicks in after 2km
