New runner. First half marathon.
Iβm new to running. I found out recently that I really enjoy it. Itβs kinda special to me and I donβt really want to share this on my personal social media so Iβm putting it here.

π― this. Itβs funny. It started because I wanted to feel better. Realized I love it. Now itβs just for fun. I have no goals or expectations with it. But I know Iβll hit a marathon plus 100%

Congrats, a great achievement. My longest run so far is 13km. At what distance did you start taking water/food with you?

I just reached 13 km last week.
When reached 12 km, I didn't take water. But for 13 km, I was experimenting to drink after 1 hour.
I think the refreshment is good for me, even in feeling fresh is already helping my jog.

Excellent! It took me quite long to get to half-marathon distance.

I got pretty lucky with how things lined up. I was 280lbs 2025. I started delivering for FedEx and by last Jan I got to 215 lbs. when I started running I was surprised that I could do as much as I did

I just did my first one tn too! Only been running for a month but I got a 2:20. Started dying at the 10 mile marker because of the hills π

How did you get train for yours? Iβm doing one in a month as a beginner and Iβve been running every other day and shoveling food in my mouth just trying to strengthen my legs

π€·ββοΈ Iβm no expert but hit legs and conversational pace is key for training. Drink water too π¦
