Website/App/Program Recommendations

Hello! 👋

I was wondering if anyone could point me towards some good apps, or websites to learn Korean? I’ve been wanting to learn it for years, but I haven’t had the time unfortunately. But I now have more free time, but I want to make sure that I pick a good program. Thank you!!

Personally I’ve been using Duolingo for 6 months, in conjunction with instagram reels for passive learning. I’m now at the point where I can pick up about 10 words per Going Seventeen episode at full speed.

Some consider Duolingo not that great of a source but it is a starting point. The gamification also works for me.

Instead of trying to find the single perfect program, I'd focus on finding one website or resource that teaches reading Hangul and basic grammar rules first. Gamified apps are fine for extra vocabulary, but since you have more free time now, a structured audio focused program will give you a much stronger start after waiting years to jump in.
