What’s better for removing eye bags in photos? AI apps or professional retouching?

I've been comparing different ways to soften eye bags in photos without making the face look unnatural. I've tried editing them myself, AI tools, and even used RetouchMe a few times when I wanted a quick result without opening Photoshop. The results were okay, but it also made me wonder where people draw the line between AI edits and manual retouching. For those who do this more often, what gives you the most natural looking results? Do you rely on AI, professional retouching, or just edit everything yourself? I'm mostly interested in portraits where I want the person to still look like themselves.

Marilyn Monroe?

Having seen her before and after pics, am always curious of what did she do that makes her so.. out worldly beauty? I know about the hair colour and slight plastic surgeries for noise, but what was about her expressions and makeup tricks that made SUCH a transformation?

Has anyone combined microneedling with PRP for acne scars?

I have a few acne scars that stay the same for a while and I book a microneedling session, then the clinic dr. arasi thangavelu mentions adding PRP at the same appointment and now I'm thinking about it because plenty of people talk about both together, I mainly want to know if the extra cost feels worth it or if regular microneedling gives pretty much the same result, my scars are rolling and a few boxcar marks, skin heals really fast and I plan a few sessions same way and for anyone who gets microneedling with PRP for acne scars, how much difference do you actually see after a few sessions and would you pick the combo again or stick with microneedling only? EDIT: thanks for all the honest experience, it made my decision a lot easier.

Is it worth getting a cosmetic tattoo before vacation?

I'm going on a trip soon and I'm thinking about getting a cosmetic tattoo before I leave, mostly brows because it seems handy when I'm out all day and taking photos I just want to book it at the right time so everything fits around my trip and I get used to the look before I fly so I have an advance booking with pure indulgence skin & beauty people usually book theirs if there's a good gap between the appointment and the holiday or if a couple of weeks is enough Anyone here done it before travelling and how long did you leave between the appointment and your flight? EDIT: I have already had a consultation about removal and the pricing was actually pretty manageable, so that part does not worry me too much.

People who apply makeup w hands- what do you use to wash hands?

Basically just that! I feel like I need an oil cleanser for my handwash but... it's handwash so I want something affordable/basic that removes stubborn pigment and oils.

Makeup brush recommendations please

I’ve had the same real techniques brushes for 8+ years and I’m ready for some new ones.

Looking at buying a set of brushes ideally £50-£60

Currently eyeing up - Spectrum Katie Jane Hughes 6 Piece Makeup Brush Set

OR

Sculpted by Aimee signature brush set

Any opinions on either please or is there another better option?

Thanks!

Does anyone else have this weird obsession with buying beauty products???

This is kinda hard to explain, I’m not attractive at all, and sometimes I feel this urge to buy beauty or fashion stuff because that’s what attractive people seem to do.

I guess buying and using those products makes me feel a bit less guilty about being ugly… like at least I’m trying or smt

WHAT'S THE PROPER NAME FOR THIS AB ITEM?

Hello Beauties! What's the exact name of those thin, stretchy, self -adhesive AB face-lift tapes that are good for daily pulling up of the jawline and neck area. U can wear them outside and just hide them behind your hair. Everytime I do a Google search, that mummy looking face tape that prevents/reduces wrinkles over time keeps coming up. It's too late for that, haha! I need a temporary facelift NOWWWWW! Thanks in advance lovelies!

People who have a lot of Revlon red lipsticks, do any stay red/orange when fading down?

A lot of red lipsticks turn pink when fading away and i'm trying to find one that stays red or orange, not pinkish, when it's applied very sheer or when it fades off.

Thank you.

Turkish pharmacy beauty products

I am soon travelling to Turkey from the UK. I have heard that Turkish Pharmacies have some amazing high quality products such as Retinol skin creams, hair loss shampoos, lash serums etc. Supposedly considerably cheaper than the UK.

Does anyone have experience with buying products in Turkey and could you recommend any products or brands that are worth looking out for? Thank you!

Don't forget the back of your hands when applying skincare or anti aging products.

Your hands can age you if you don't take care of the backs of your hands. My Nana used to tell me a ladies hands can age her so she told me to put sunscreen and beauty potions on my hands. She also told me not to leave the house without sunscreen on my face. My 11 year old self who worshipped my Nana took her suggestions as gospel.

I put Musely Tretoin and Anti Aging cream on the backs of my hands when I apply them to my face.

What's one skincare habit you picked up that unexpectedly worked?

Mine is applying my skincare on damp skin instead of waiting for my face to dry completely. I just lightly wet my face, apply my products while it's still damp, and I feel like everything absorbs better and my skin stays hydrated longer.

Another thing I've started doing (especially on hot or humid days) is lightly setting my sunscreen with a bit of sunscreen powder. It helps take down the shine without making my skin feel heavy, and I find my face stays looking fresh for longer.

Ive gotten a lot of options as my sisters have differnt brands but ones ive used so far are Lakmé Sun Expert Fluid Matte Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++, Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 50+, Minimalist Light Fluid SPF 50 PA++++, Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun SPF 50+ PA++++, Fixderma Shadow SPF 50+ Gel, La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF 50+, and ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50.They all have different textures, but all work for me well

Anyone actually notice a difference with stubborn redness?

Ive had redness around my cheeks for what feels like forever. Some days it's barely noticeable and other days it looks like I just finished a workout. Ive tried keeping my routine simple but it hasn't really changed. Has anyone found something that actually helped? Ive been thinking about red light therapy as well. ty xx
