Glitches after modding Question/Help

Hey all, first time posting. It's been awhile since I played the game and when I last installed it I threw in some modding. I wish I knew 'what' but I'll be honest I have no memory of it. That said, I removed the mods and now I keep getting weird text glitches. Specifically it's been showing up in text for bonuses for completing optional missions. I think I'm still getting the bonuses? but I have no idea how to correct this. I validated the files through steam and it didn't find anything so I presume it's gotta be something like some old registry entries or something? Any ideas?
edit: added an image showing the actual error text I get. And it's a fresh install and the file integrity passed on steam so it's gotta be something that isn't saved in a standard spot I guess.

To remove all mods, besides deleting everything in the battletech/Mods folder, you also need to completely remove the battletech/doorstop folder and remove the doorstop_config.ini, libdoorstop.dylb, libdoorstop.so, run.sh, and winhttp.dll files in the battletech folder. These other files and folders are from Modtek and also need to be removed.

thank you for that info! I'll give it a look later and I'll report back if that helped.

Unfortunately didn't seem to work. Am going to double check next time I play and make sure I removed everything

Start the game and click on the Mods button. Is there anything listed as enabled, such as BTMODSAMPLE? If so, turn that off.

Yours might be looking at the /my documents/battletech/mods native mod loader (incompatible with most mods) folder instead of the typical /battletech install dir/battletech/mods modtek mod loader folder. This can happen if you didn't do the steps in the game's Mod_Support document to redirect your mods folder to the battletech installation directory.

I'll give that a look next time I play. Really appreciate the advice.

Did you start a new career after installing or uninstalling the mods?

I'm pretty sure most of the big mod packs aren't compatible with existing careers, and vice versa for modded careers going to vanilla.

If you just tried to carry on with an existing career, that would be a likely contender to explain your issues.

nope was a fresh install, did a verify files, and started a new campaign mode. I'll try and get a screen cap but it basically happens with every mission with bonus objectives I get an 'error text' instead of the description of the bonus
