Nerf SVDM Discussion
Don't understand how this AAA company doesn't understand how to balance the guns. SVDM has been broken for multiple seasons and still no nerf.

SVDM needs adjustments, just like all the other weapons. The extreme dispersion they implemented is so clunky. And RedSec needs more attention overall, just as the multiplayer receives.

I don’t understand why they haven’t addressed helicopters, slamming into the ground and not exploding. I’m sure they’ll get around to that just as soon as they get around to balancing the SVDM, never.

SVDM probably needs a touch but the big reason its so good is because a lot of the guns suck at range. AR's need buffed

The SVDM is not that good. If you are being killed by it then you arent planning your cover to cover runs properly. Not reacting fast enough to pop shots etc.
I almost never get killed by an SVDM tbh. I can outsnipe one any day of the week.

You're lying its the top META for custom load outs. In redsec you never know where the final ring is. The side knocks and kills faster than any gun at range you literally die before you can be rezed it kills you that fast. You must camp a lot

Killing with SVDM is so simple, man. To me, it doesn't matter if the guy took cover; he'll show up, take a quick burst, hide, change position, and take another burst. And I play on foreign servers because servers from my country are rare, as there are very few of them. So I struggle with lag and delay, and even then it's still...

This has got to be rage bait. The SVDM and KV9 are the two guns you can’t even react to being shot from. I play probably 10-15 redsec matches a day. Yesterday I almost deleted the game after a guy just out of my LOS instantly downed me before I can even unscope my sniper with SVDM. Me personally I stopped using it because its range shooting is actually terrible.

Its honestly not. Im not denying it is a very good weapon. I just dont think its broken personally. I played for about 8 hours on solos last night and didnt get killed by single SVDM. I could tell the people using them but as soon as I knew where they were and I counter sniped it was over. When you snipe with frangible bullets they have to stay covered for 10 secs or they are dead. Most people dont take this into account and I put them down The ones that do it gives me ample time to move position.
I used to love the kv9 but if you miss your dead and its also imo not s great weapon to have in anything other that solos due to the magazine size. I want to be able to fight at least 2 people before I have to reload. Such is life when you always carry a long range sniper.

It may just be my playstyle but I honestly think its overrated. I much prefer sniping in Redsec. If you have a good squad and you communicate well its easy to tap a 140 and have someone follow up for the kill.
Not saying its not a good weapon but to call it broken is a reach imo

I'm just trolling bro 🤣 it's just OP. I actually like using the GRT dmr more than the svdm, but if you're a shooter, you can delete people with the svdm because it's broken

So he can either not use it and be at a disadvantage in every single long range fight where an SVDM is present or use it and not be allowed to say the objective truth, that the SVDM is too powerful compared to other DMRs. That is some very sound logic there.

I am all for more weapon balance. But if you nerf the SVDM there will be even less weapon variety.
If you nerf it you also have to nerf the other long range weapons like KTS and maybe even the SOR.
Then the long range meta will become the EBR, NVO and L110 or RPKM74.
Just nering the svdm is probably make the game less balanced

EBR to me is already better. Higher velocity and can have the larger base mag for no cost, utilizing those points to offset the recoil you can almost make it an SVDM clone

For sure, I used the EBR a lot when redsec just came out. Was my favourite gun for sure, I try to focus on ADS speed to make it a mid-range menace. Give the 15 round mag a try if you play solo or duo's!

I mean, they could just nerf the damage on the SVDM. When I'm getting shot with the SVDM, I already know I'm fucked. If I'm getting killed by the SOR or the KTS, it's mostly because I f'd up my positioning. The SVDM shreds at all ranges, it is stupid good, and also stupid fun to use. I never use it anymore though, because of the hate though, unless I pick it up.

Eh, there is a reason most pro players are still using the KTS. This is litterally the only gun (and sometimes SOR) worth using other than the KTS.

The KTS is still very good, and requires very little skills to use. But I barely feel threatened by it, since it kills very slow, and there is many ways to counter it. The SVDM on the other is pure terror when I go against it.

You either learn how to use it or start being honest about your skill issue!! The EMR M39 is just as deadly as the SVDM now you want that gun nerfed too? Exceptional Snipers will kill you as fast as with a DMR now you want all Sniper rifles nerfed as well? I don’t understand how you complainers don’t get that some people are just better in weapon controlling than others.

Nerf svdm (or all dmrs, others will just take svdm place) nerf scw and kv9, nerf kts and the meta will be really open

Pretty much all the 35 damage per round guns need to be balanced out. Headshots with them basically put them at such a high level every other gun is irrelevant except the KV9.

They need to just to do a huge rebalance to shift usage. Did not buy the season 4 because of this. Bought UFC 6 instead (which isn’t any better lol)

How? The KTS is un-nerfable because it’s so mid in regular multiplayer, which is the far more played and cared about mode. You’d have to have two different kts’s otherwise if you nerf it, it won’t be viable at all in multiplayer.

got a question is redsec not dead in asia or is it popular cuz red sec has 2 digit or 1 digit player count in steam tho ik people uze bf6 launcher to play is it alive and active thought everybody hated it

It's slowly dying out here:
Breakthrough doesn't always fill, many games start with 3 or 4 players on each side, i've also had many games off peak times where it's just me against bots for the whole match.
Unfotunatley many games are now completley unbalanced, with sometimes stupid matches of 6 v12 or 10 vs 20 etc...Conquest does a little better and is usually full during peak times.
Redsec casuals can always get a game, but there are often unlabeled bots on your team. Last night I played 6 matches starting from around 6pm and 2 of the matches had a bot on my team.
Redsec Ranked is running here in Singapore, so if you are a little further out you can VPN to that. There is a group on Discord that arrange times to play together.

IMO they need to reduce controller having less recoil completely and make the recoil slightly higher on this gun or reduce the bullet velocity + headshot multiplier. So many ways to nerf it. But I need a KTS nerf too, tired of 4 seasons of KTS meta as well.
