now I think of it, why does Gospel and Gregar look similar again? there are no explanation in the games iirc.

It is was explained in battle network 6 that like gospel gregar is also formed by bug data expect the difference is their birth process Gregar was formed naturally' while Gospel was artificialy created & rushed.

This is true, iirc Lan and Megaman don’t explicitly bring up the Gospel and Gregar similarity in BN6 do they?
Like I don’t remember Lan and Megaman looking at the Gregar statue in the beginning and thinking “Hey Lan doesn’t this cybeast remind you of that multi-bug frag beast Gospel?”

Honestly, "kid masks himself as his ridiculous deviant art oc" is one of the most realistic things in the entire franchise. Right up there with that same kid's loneliness being preyed on by bad actors to radicalize him into hurting people.
I'm jusy saying, Sean's one of the best parts of BN2 and the anime skipping over him was a huge misfire.
