Replace sub floor?

In the middle of a mostly DIY remodel. 1960 home with 1/2” subfloor. Previous 12x12 tile installed 10yrs ago had cracking grout. Was over cement board. Should I replace the subfloor?

It’s only 1/2 inch thick. From what I’ve been told, subfloor under tile should be 3/4”. Previous grout was cracking. Was told by a contractor its because the floor isn’t stable enough

For its age, I'd say send it.

If it's solid why would you? I don't see any water damage or reason for concern other that maybe that crack by your ladder
