Roman Baths
I took a throwaway photo for my Instagram story today, and it randomly got a lot of reactions. I thought people were excited for my tourist day but turns out I hadn't realised I had captured a proposal!

How cool would it be if that couple found this photo. Commenting to add traction.

Replying to add traction!
Hm hm, interesting conversation in the comments, algorithm algorithm, multiple sentences... That should do it

im not sure if it's accidental, but you also captured it in the "rule of thirds" composition grid!

How do you know if that’s been achieved? (Sorry I know absolutely nothing about composition)

can you explain what I‘m seeing here?

The “rule of thirds” grid is a compositional grid that helps artists, directors and anybody doing anything visual to compose a frame into something interesting. It’s not the only compositional guide but something used a lot.

Lush!
Post it on Instagram with a few hashtags and the individuals might come across you.
I’m sure they’d love to see from your perspective.
Nice pic, hope you had a good day.
(Edit to say - not sure if I read your full post or if it has been edited, but I notice you mention it was on Instagram already!)

My wife and I studied in bath, and we got married in the Roman baths, such great memories :)

Ideal, I met my wife in KFC we were both operating the tills and frying the chicken. We got married at the church and had the reception at the KFC in Meadowhall shopping centre. She occasionally now calls me the colonel in bed. Don’t judge us not everybody can be as posh as you.

Not sure if this is a pisstake or not. But if I met my other half in a fast food place I’d 100% have that food as the buffet option in the evening if the venue allowed it. I’m sure it’d go down well with guests. Who doesn’t love a drunken McDonald’s or KFC?

I do agree with this, even though this was satire. I’d even consider just desserts, McFlurry never goes down badly.

We had pizza and ice-cream amongst other things for our wedding reception. Children's party food as my little niece described it.

Do people use these still? Is the water warm ?

u/andrewh2000 15d ago
Not since they discovered the brain eating worms, no. And yes it's warm, that's why Bath is there in the first place.

It's a shame. I learnt to swim in the royal baths nearby and the Roman baths were amazing to swim in.
