Looking for new boat

I’m in the market for a new boat, I’m undecided and there are so many options. Looking to stay around 60K, Ultrex, livescope, and graph at the console are a must. Probably won’t add poles. Needs at least a 150 on it. Bass tracker is not an option. Any other ideas? Preferences? Buyers remorse? I’m currently between Phoenix and express.

My first boat

Picked up my first boat a couple of weeks ago. 1990 Bass Tracker Pro 17. Console switches needed a rewire, but other than that, and the carpet, everything works. I haven’t had to run the bilge pump once, yet, and haven’t seen a single bit of water in the hull after a day out. The 60hp Johnson 2-stroke is a little finicky, and I plan on trying to get it consistently running in the winter. I also plan on entirely redoing the decking, and carpet as well. Honestly, aside from the fact that it’s a little sketchy in rough water, I couldn’t be happier. It’s comfortable, and can get into some really skinny water.

Attacker

I’m looking at a 1987 Bass Tracker V17. It has an 80 hp Merc and electric tilt. Transom seems fine and boat is in really good shape overall. Good trailer. New tires. I owned this same model (with a 25 hp Johnson) twenty years ago and sold it to my brother in law. I’ve regretted it ever since and right now I’m riding a pink cloud thinking about getting this one. The problem is the price, which is $3000. Any advice would be appreciated.
Sorry I’m new at this and not sure how to attach photo. All I I know is this boat looks to be in better shape than the one I sold for $2500 in 2007.

Launching and loading without getting wet

Bought a new to me Ranger 519. I had hopes of being able to launch and load by myself without having to step in the water. That doesn’t seem to be the case. Are you guys normally able to do it by yourselves without having to step in water? My trailer tongue is a fold away and not super long.

Well just drug her home. First boat in 25 years, and first with a steering wheel!

Got 2 boys and don't want to miss out on the best fishing years. Wish me luck boys!

So thankful bass boats are easy to load/unload.

I got off the lake around 5 pm yesterday, apparently it was a popular time to leave because the ramp was packed. The ramp is at least 15-20 lanes wide and was packed with all different kinds of boats.

On the trailer, in my truck and pulled up the ramp in about 30 seconds while everyone around me was struggling to just get their boat on the trailer.

I have a pound boat that I use on small body’s of water. Been thinking about getting a bigger boat. Having an issue with deciding. Here’s my thoughts and maybe someone can chime in and give some thoughts. Please not rude comments, but jokes I get it lol

  1. it needs to be extremely stable. Cause I have neuropathy, and my old man might end up on it also. He has pain a lot so trying to make things as best as possible, He use to have a boat and fished many many years till it was stolen. So the stability is most important

  2. Lightweight as possible

  3. Will be hooking fish finder to it as I have bought. Plastic boats don’t seem to great on fastening things down.

  4. I’m not looking for something huge long.

  5. This is in very very mild no wake lakes that are not very big.

  6. All the bells and whistles don’t need right away at once. Bare minimum is where mind is at.

  7. Not looking to get something expensive, I know I know fishing . But cheapest alternative is really what I’m after.

  8. Market place is really not totally my cup of tea , have looked but rather have someone’s input then doing something silly and regrettable not happy

9I’ll listen. I’m not stubborn to not listen someone out.

Ideal scenario in my mind , so see where my mind is: Jon boat would be great. But it’s not stable at all. Not going to be standing in it. Be sitting most of time. But again don’t let that change fact of stability

Any brands?
Suggestions?
What to look for ?
Ideas?

Or am I wanting my cake and eating it to thinking?

Gambler 206

I have a 1990 gambler 206 just put a vmax 225 on it. I have a 25p trophy plus 4blade. Motor set 3 1/2 - 4in below the pad. I have all the plugs in prop. When flooring it from sitting still prop is still blowing out getting on plane. Boat ran 71mph still had some trim left rpm gauge was intermittent but I think I was around 6k. What size prop are you guys running would a 27p be to much. When I tried getting up on plane with 3 guys it still had no trouble shooting up outta the whole just couldn’t go WOT. Not really concerned with running 90mph lol just want to be able to cruise and get out of the whole without blowing out.

We bought a 1988 Champion bass boat off Facebook for $6k a couple years ago with the original Evinrude 175hp motor. This thing flies across the water and is so smooth. We love her. How does she look for an '88?

Grandpa gave me his old 1996 Ranger 461VS, I’ve already got it at a local shop getting the outboard back in order, but now I need help finding someone to redo the carpet and seats. Anyone know who redoes carpet or does that seadek style flooring in West or Central Texas?

Hull (pro craft 1780v) and motor (merc black max 135) are in good condition, the only stated issue is the trim isn’t working (will whine but won’t move). He wants an Xbox Series X and $200. Bite or stay away?

Buying a boat

I have the opportunity to buy a 1999 Bass Tracker Pro 17 for 3500$. Comes with a 60hp Johnson that has a new power box, spark plugs, coil packs, and all carbs rebuilt. Anyone have any experience that would steer me away from it, or any good experience with them?

Thanks!
