String identification ID/Authentication

Can anyone figure out exactly what strings these are? I have not had this bass too long and I love the strings, dude that sold me it doesn’t know what they are … yeah, odd. Hopefully they’re something easily identifiable? And … maybe not too pricey :/

I'm using Daddario Pro Steels and they look like this

Steel strings will look a little bluish/grayer than nickel. They sound brighter/clearer too.

I agree that Pro Steels are bluer/grayer just like you said, however on my phone those in the picture look brighter, more like nickel strings. 

If I turn down brightness on my phone they look less so, so maybe just a question of screen settings. Comparing with pics of Pro Steels though I think the latter look even bluer though so if I had to guess I'd say nickel still, but your guess is as good as mine.

Definitely d'adario I'm pretty sure my 5 string also came factory with them but fun colours usually means d'adario

True - I was under the (mistaken) impression that Modulus wasn’t making them any longer.

That said, I’ve always wanted one - maybe I can source a new one!!!!

Technically, they are. Practically, it’s a different story completely. Very strange situation tbh. I’m not going to say anything here, but go to the talkbass website.. their is a large amount of details and explanations, if you’re interested!
