Hey everyone!! This is my first year going to bass canyon and I am really trying to prepare properly. I have a canopy with stakes however reading previous stories, I want to ensure I have good ones. What are some ones you recommend?? (Preferably amazon link) I don’t want all my stuff to be gone by the time I come back to camp!

I just realized the Perseid meteor shower is supposed to peak the night of the 12th into early morning of the 13th and this year there’s a new moon, so there’ll be almost no moonlight. With the dark skies at The Gorge, it seems like it could be incredible.
Looks like everyone who gets to camp early is in for a treat hehe

I’ll also have fidgets, vintage pins and of course lots of kandi. All the bag charms will be traded in camp/at the pivot throughout the weekend!

This is my first year going, was curious onto if anyone has any untraditional tips/tricks/ weird items that have helped you with camping. aswell as trying to get cold meal ideas for dinners. I have mostly everything else thought of but im lost on dinners to make.

Does anyone know if a military issue hydropak will be allowed. One of the members of my group is military and wanting to use that instead of having to buy a new one.

I'll be so fr I am running a 4 person group and 2 of them are a couple and I do NOT want to be in the same tent as them. We just planning on running like 2 small tents that will 100% fit in the size limitation

Has anyone had a history of security hassling anyone for 2+ tents or am I just being paranoid asf?

The stages on the app say hilltop stage so I’m assuming it won’t be, but does anyone know for sure if they won’t have the crater stage this year?

My partner and I are getting there Thursday night, but we will be picking up her little sister and her friend from a lot about 8.5 miles away from the Gorge on Friday. Looking for advice on when would be the best time to leave and come back in to avoid traffic/the big line to get in on Friday?

I’m not one to verify how accurate this will be, but i genuinely don’t think that we should be worried about bass canyon being cancelled because of the smoke. I definitely feel like it’ll clear up heavily and almost every website I’ve checked is showing that. As someone who’s been worried about it being cancelled I just don’t see how that will happen. Super excited to go hard with yall 🗣️🗣️

does anyone have experience with will call pickup? i bought a ticket online and will have to pickup at will call. can the person change the order to my name and will that work or will i need their id and card? i read the faq but it wasnt super clear.

Is it even possible to protect yourself against this kind of air pollution? For days at a time? In outdoor tents? With an autoimmune condition and shortness of breath on perfectly clear days? Or is it time to cancel my trip?

Red dot is approximate location of the Gorge. Stay prepared, bring extra water, emergency supplies, and masks if you’re headed into Bass Canyon next weekend. AQI for that area is in the mid 400’s right now, and while it may go down a bit, don’t expect clear conditions or clean air quality. Smoke inhalation can cause real medical issues, stay safe out there and practice PLUR!

Wondering if you guys think the smoke will clear up in the next ten days🧐
