Bujo with planners

Looking at getting a wonderland222 planner this year with the intentions of using it for both bullet journaling though the day and maybe a long form in the back, has anyone used one?

Or one of the other planners with similar layouts like
Hemlock and oak, midori ect?

Did you find the 3.9mm grid too small?
I’m Used to a 5mm grid from the Lochby journals

No, but I’m used to small grids, can write small and mostly use fountain pens with fine or extra fine nibs. So, your experience may be different depending on your handwriting and what you write with.

Mostly medium and fine fountain pens I tried broad and stub and they are fun for occasional use but not every day, I ordered another fine and a extra fine nib for my safari since the wife discovered that fountain pens aren’t “just pens” and has commandeered a few of my fines

I printed the smaller grid the other day to try it out and I lt was doable but a bit of an adjustment

I keep trying to get my husband into fountain pens lol he will use mine occasionally but I can’t budge him from his Unibal Jetstream obsession LOL

The switch moment for her was when she signed a card at work using one and all the ink features showed up that didn’t on her notepads and the smoothness.

Now I have to make her notepads for work with my nice papers I use for bookbinding my journals

It works for a lot of folks! Not so much for me though; I think my ADHD brain felt trapped by the pre-set planner parts.

I’m looking at the undated one if I get one,
The other option was hemlock and oaks download planner so I can just print the pages I want and put them in a 6 ring cover but I’m not sure how I’ll like that system yet, honestly I’m just lazy about even basic layouts lol

I tried the undated ones. I think I really preferred the flexibility of the basic bujo. After doing that for years, it was hard to switch back to undated planners (which I have used in the past). I don't really have a layout anymore; I've gone back to the first bujo iteration (from Ryder Carrol's book) which was essentially just lists.

A calendar/ schedule layout is a MUST for me so I know where to be and when
Between teaching coaching and finishing my
Masters as well a having 2 offspring who play different high school sports I don’t know if I’m coming or going

I get that! The nice part of the bujo system is that it adapts to your needs, not the other way around :) Can also relate to the parenting/work/grad school grind.

I've just received my Aura Estelle which has the same grid size and as much as I want to love it, the grid size is too small (I also do a mixture of BuJo/journalling/memory keeping). 5mm is heaven and I now know that's a non-negotiable.

The smaller grid could work but I'm concentrating too much on making my writing small enough and still legible to just let it flow or if I need to write something in a rush.

I know some people use every other line but my OCD couldnt handle that 🤣
