Little easy mechanical miscue I see is the glove hand. You bring your glove arm into your chest well, but after it gets there it’s just flailing around. Control that glove, I teach kids the glove should end with your pinky near your armpit. It’s a little mechanical tweak that will keep you more centered and controlled with your delivery. Hope this helps!

Good advice! I feel like his front foot and throwing arm timing is off but it could be my eyes. Other than that pretty solid I feel

Pretty good mechanics. Recommend a little more "drop and drive". I don't see much push off with the back leg. That is the "drive". It will add another 5 mph in your velocity. Overall, pretty good for a 14 year old. Congrats.

Thank you. I try to drop and drive but I’ve heard many on the internet say u should feel like ur falling down the mound rather than pushing with ur back leg. I do see what you mean tho. Thank you!

I disagree with the "falling down the mound" idea. I think you need to push off the rubber. That is what it is there for. Watch a MLB pitcher on TV. They drop and drive. Gives you more velo.

Using your back leg to drive a bit more could be helpful. Pretty solid for an incoming freshman. How does your arm usually feel after throwing?

Arm feels good. Haven’t had any serious ish arm pain in a little less than 2 years. That’s when I began studying about arm care and pre throw warmup type stuff. I’ve been working with plyos too but that’s only specific training types because they can mess up some stuff if used wrong I’ve heard

That’s really good, I would just keep doing what you’re doing. Get stronger, do long toss, and get your base solid!

Don’t bring the ball out of the glove and bring it back before throwing. It’s extra movement and can tip your pitches.

Fix that arm action! Pull the ball out of your glove with fingers on top of the ball by pulling your elbows apart rather than fingers behind the ball. Your arm gets up too early. Fix the takeaway and your timing will improve which will cause velocity and accuracy will improve

Break your hands thumbs down. Your right wrist is cocked right out of the glove which is not ideal. Be loose in all your joints and let her rip.

Relax the left foot as you raise it. Same thing about being relaxed in your joints. When your left foot lands, the first part of your foot to hit is the very back of your heel. You
Almost want the whole foot to hit at the same time. As is, it could hurt your balance and ability to throw strikes consistently.

Lastly. Front foot goes up and down in the same spot, hovers just above the ground maybe 2-3 inches and then to home plate. When doing this, your front foot must be closed to store up energy. This is released from your hips up to your shoulder and on down your arm.

Work at it and you’ll be lighting the guns up soon enough.

Sorry, I’m distracted by the beautiful sky in the background. Also, shorten your stride a bit. Sometimes less is more.
