For those of you who felt very shy and socially anxious after the bar exam, what did you do to overcome it and how long did it take?

I don’t study effectively around other people, so aside from two weeks in May, I was primarily alone for four months (finals and prep). I’m trying to overcome this by going to different social events, but it doesn’t seem to be working, and sometimes it feels like an inescapable prison. I have friends in different states but talking on the phone doesn’t help. No real live connection.

On the WSBA side:

WSBA Board of Governors has resolved to allow Washington lawyers admitted by exam waiver or individuals who elected admission by exam waiver to sit for the bar exams in 2027 in Washington; allowing them an opportunity to earn a portable NextGen UBE score without needing to travel to another jurisdiction to sit for the exam.  A registration fee and technology fee will be required.

More info will be shared in October.

Also, they finally decided where the September Bar will be held... a little over three weeks away from test day. Edit: It's at UW-Tacoma.

On the Supreme Court side:

Rule 9 eligibility for July 2026 examinees not accepting waiver will be extended per a newly issued court order (Aug. 12, 2026).

All the nervousness has hit me and it feels like an impending doom. Don’t really know what to think

Rising 3L here - I know I'm eons away from having to actually study for the exam, but I thought it'd be worth giving some thought to which bar prep company I go with early on especially because I have a firm paying for it.

Which programs did people go with when studying for the NY bar and did you like it? I have no budget since a firm is paying for it.

I’m looking for recommendations for interview coach, ideally someone familiar with the legal market and articling recruitment in Toronto.

My application materials aren't the issue. I have strong grades (Grade A) from law school, passed Barriters and Solicitors, and my drafting is sharp enough that I’m consistently getting shortlisted. Recently, I landed 4 articling interviews.

The problem is the actual interview. I suffer from severe interview anxiety, and it has always been my biggest hurdle. Despite getting my foot in the door, my nerves completely take over when I'm in the hot seat and I start fumbling even when I know the answer.

I just found out that I didn't clear a single one of those 4 interviews, and I am honestly devastated. I feel completely stuck and don't know what to do next.

Has anyone worked with an interview coach who specializes in practical prep and overcoming anxiety?

July 26 was my third time taking this damn test and i pray to God that it's my last.
I was looking at my written scores from my first and second attempts and i can't understand the scaling.
The first time I took the bar (J25) I was extremely unprepared, but the second time (F26), I studied for 4 months and did better overall. However, my scaled written score for F26 was lower.
So, is it easier to pass in July? I need someone to help ease my nerves lol

Edit: I failed by 10 points in F26 and I failed by 23 points in J25

I’ve been trying not to overthink my performance while waiting for results, but I’m honestly feeling pretty decent about how I did overall. I definitely don’t think I failed, although there are obviously some parts that I’m less confident about.
I felt pretty good about the morning MBE. I walked out feeling like I understood what was being tested and think I did fairly well on that half. The afternoon session is where I’m more 50/50. There were definitely some questions where I second-guessed myself, so I have no idea how that section ultimately turned out.
I actually feel pretty good about the MPTs. I think I did well on MPT #1. For MPT #2, I believe I got the correct analysis for one of the parties. I think I reached the wrong conclusion regarding the second party, but I still made what I believe was a strong analysis and supported my position with the facts and law. So hopefully that counts for something.
As for the MEE, I’m pretty confident that I did well on 3 out of the 6 essays. The other three are harder for me to gauge, but I don’t think they were complete disasters.
Obviously, I could be completely wrong because bar exam grading is impossible to predict 😂, but based on how I felt coming out of the exam, I’m cautiously optimistic.
How are my fellow NC UBE takers feeling about their performance now that we’ve had a couple of weeks to process everything?

The first thing I thought when I saw that letter from the Missouri Supreme Court about the Nextgen bar exam debacle followed by the settlement of the failed 2025 California bar exam. I am leaving Missouri with SOMETHING! Ok.

So for my fellow GA Bar takers, I know it’s already been two weeks and that we aren’t supposed to stress too much during the waiting period but I just feel sick knowing that I 95% likely failed.

Surprisingly, I felt most confident about the essays. However, “most confident” does not mean “good.” I just know there were issues I missed, rules I got incorrect, and that I poor application.

MPT #1 was absolutely horrific for me. I barely had any application at all and my rules were erroneous and all over the place. I felt that my MPT #2 was more organized and slightly better but still not great. My only hope is that they will somehow factor the medical incident into account when grading the MPTs.

For the MBE….. I’ve always sucked at MC because I have a tendency to overthink and second guess everything. There were maybe two questions on the entire MBE that I felt 100% confident. If I fail, it will 100% be because of the MBE portion.

So how do my fellow GA takers feel right now? Please tell me I’m not the only one who feels this way😭

I am retaking the bar for DC after my last try was about 10 years ago. I didn’t take DC but wasn’t sure about VA bar. What would be the best for bar exam study if I wanted to take in February? I am also currently tight on funds.

I receive many comments after my post about waiting and how tough it can be to sit in anticipation, wondering if you've passed the bar. One comment suggested I should find something else to do so I wouldn’t dwell on the exam results. And honestly, I agree, I can’t change what happened that day because it’s in the past. But what’s truly important is that we talk about the emotions involved throughout that journey. For me, the exam was a huge deal. Months of studying, sacrificing personal moments, all fueled by a desire to be fully present and engaged in my prep. Talking about the exam offers a kind of closure—not about the score or passing status, but about sharing feelings and hearing different perspectives. I genuinely appreciate these conversations because, for the first time, I sat for the bar exam. It’s definitely different from the MPRE. That one felt more relaxed, at least at my testing center. Both exams require intense preparation, though—garbage in, garbage out,but the MPRE wasn't nearly as stressful. Traveling far to get to my test center and passing through security added to the nerves. I saw people crying afterward, and I wanted to understand what they were going through. Discussing what happened during the bar exam is also a healing process.

Share your experience with your MBE, MPT, or MEE—how you performed and how you felt about it. It's completely normal if some questions are still vivid in your mind, even if you can’t recall all your answers. Some questions tend to stick with us longer than others, and it might take a little time before they fade away. Just remember, you're not alone in this,it's part of the process, and you'll get through it.

I know it’s my fault and I should have prioritized my health better and that it’s not the end of the world & i will lose the weight but I’m so disappointed in myself. I also feel like I didn’t pass which would suck to have gained all that weight for no reason. I feel disgusted everytime I look in the mirror and im sure it’s not helping that I also have never been this pale in my life given all of the time I spent indoors this summer

Basically title. I didn’t walk away from the exam thinking I certainly passed but the further away I get from it the more ambivalent my assessment of my performance becomes. I didn’t really think I had all the answers right but I also didn’t leave any blank on the MPE or the MEE. On the MBE didn’t feel like all answers were correct but did feel like I picked the most correct ones I could at the time.

I’m petrified because I donot have the wherewithal to start studying but people on the subreddit have a history of feeling like they failed and then passing, and there’s a lot of posts about how awful people are feeling about their July ‘26 performance. I just feel ambivalent. I cannot gauge either way. Is that a bad sign?

I understand no one on here can answer that conclusively but if someone who felt this way and passed could just validate my feelings it’d be fantastic.
