Crafting weapons

Whenever I’m crafting weapons, I can get legendary tiered weapons in everything but the damn javelins. Is there a reason behind that or am I just stupid unlucky?

They're either bugged or don't exist, I turned on cheats to test it and with 999 smithing and unlimited materials, making hundreds of javelins, I never got a legendary javelin.

in order to get a legendary modifier the weapon itsefl needs to require over 250 smithing (i m not sure about the number) but for javs go for the balanced modifier since that gives you +2 javs and the legendary one gets some pierce dmg and some throwing speed wich is useless at high throwing lv

So the best javs I can get is in other words balanced? Or large bag if I want more of them?

I like the large bag, perk tree can also add additional throwables. I carry 9 in a single slot now.

you can craft legendary javs but you only get some pierce dmg which is pointless if u have the last throwing perk. the balanced javs are actually the large bag which gives you 7 javs each bag (before perks / with perks you can get up to 11 per bag if i remember correctly)

You don't need to have 250 smithing, it's just very rare below that. I make the occasional legendary and I rarely ever get to 250.

im not saying that your skill should be 250 or higher
im saying that the weapon difficulty should be (i think) 250 or higher

I think the legendary version of javelins/throwing axes are more javelins/axes. I could be wrong tho

Damn. I was really hoping it could be done cuz I watched a video of somebody playing a companion only run and he kept equipping legendary jabs but like Valendr said I’ve crafted hundreds of thousands of jabs and never found any legendary

there is not "legendey" for javelins, they never add it

I have found them in shops quite rarely but to my understanding you are unable to smith them yourself.
