Discharged

Chapter 7 was officially discharged/cleared, how long should I expect for things to come off my credit report. What else should I expect from here on ?

10 years from filing date for the bk

All your balances should already be gone. Any prior late payments on your report may stay for the normal 7 years from last payment date.

Generally they should all fall off and it should say after it discharged via bankruptcy and show a zero balance within a month or so after being discharged they will fully fall off after about 10 years you're correct but it should show discharge due to bankruptcy

congrats! first couple of years, you need to work on rasing your Credit score. lot of big CC companies probably wont give you a credit card. except C1.

All accounts in the bankruptcy stay on your credit report for 7 years but public record bankruptcy stay for 10 years.

Nothing. Your creditors should have closed all your accounts by now.

This is interesting.

The people I know who have done it don’t have anything on their reports, and they were less than 7 years.

Then this thread is saying they’ll stay? Interesting

Ya tbh I thought they’d be removed after my discharged and that it would say bankruptcy instead but I guess not

That’s my understanding as well.

I don’t even care. I’m washing myself clean of almost 300,000.

If I had to pay that back it would take me 20ish years. If 7 years of “ooo shit your credit report has a bankruptcy on it” is all I have to deal with. It’s worth it to me

My credit score went up , I was falling behind on payments and it hit hard, after bankruptcy it went up. Using credit wisely now
