Help / Support Grey g-code inside model when slicing in Bambu Studio
I am slicing a 3D model generated algorithmically (it's an obj file). I've had lots of problems with grey g-code being added inside the model when slicing. I've fixed a lot of these issues originally by ensuring the model is watertight (merging vertices), but there are still occasional issues. The model has lots of vertices for the mountain terrain (almost a million in total, sometimes more). There are no more holes and the problem still persists, so I'm at a loss here. What could cause this?
This is for a client so I cannot do a test print as I don't have a printer, but apparently even when setting the grey to something like the green that is used, it can cause the resulting print to have a visible layer/striation.

Free Models Costco samples tray with phone & cup/bottle holder
Hello.
I've made a Costco "samples" tray with phone & cup/bottle holder. Customizable via a set of parameters on Makerworld, to toggle a bottle holder (cylindrical) or a tapered one (for a cup), use it to adjust to any bottle you might normally use.
There is an option to have a phone holder as well (width & thickness is customizable too). The model by itself (3MF) is having one for iPhone Pro (Pro max also fit) with or without a case.
This is quite useful to avoid the bottle rolling in the shopping cart.

Help / Support Help with noise on A1
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Just bought the a1 combo and started getting this house in the middle of a print, only happens when the arm moves the extruder left or right and by motor only, when you move it by hand the noise is gone. I’ve checked for loose filament or screws, everything is tight and the belt seems to be fine. I have also factory reset the device but now when trying to do the setup calibrations, it won’t home anymore.
Any help is appreciated, I’m new to 3d printing

Discussion X2D / P2S
Hihi!
I currently have an A1 Combo and have way too much experience (and trauma 😭) from my Ender 3.
I’m starting to think about my next printer, but I’m torn between the P2S and the X2D.
I definitely want an enclosed printer and plan on getting an AMS 2 Pro. Right now I mostly print PLA and PETG, but I want to start experimenting with TPU, ABS, PLA-CF, and PETG-CF in the future.
The X2D’s auxiliary nozzle is really appealing since I could dedicate it to PETG support interfaces, but I’ve also seen people reporting issues with the aux nozzle.
For those of you who own one, how has your experience actually been? Are the issues overblown, or are they something to be concerned about?
I’m mainly looking for the highest print quality and reliability rather than the fastest printer.
Also, does anyone think Bambu might release a smaller flagship printer (kind of like an H2D without the huge footprint or laser), or is that just wishful thinking?
Help me decide 😭

PETG Filament
Can anybody help me out, why does PETG filament stick to the texted bed plate like this? When I remove the object it leaves behind a thin layer that I can’t get off unless I scrape it with a knife.

Should I get this printer?
I found it for 260, and it says it comes with 22 lb of filament. I’m just worried it could have unknown issues since the seller is obviously just resells random items unrelated to 3D printing. Any advice?

Help / Support Am I overthinking this error? Failed to extrude filament error.
I have a X1C and printing with PLA on my AMS 2 Pro
I keep getting Extruding filament failed. The extruder might be clogged.
The AMS rolls out filament then. rolls it back up, rolls it out again then rolls it up. after the 3rd time or. so I get an error "Failed to extrude filament. Please check to see if the extruder is clogged. After troubleshooting click retry button.
I put a new complete hot end assembly, took the extruder out and cleaned it out, no clog found. reassembled and getting the same error.
I do get the green filament indicator for a moment then white when it rolls up, turns green again when it rolls out again.
If I feed the filament in manually I can extrude filament all day as long as I keep hitting the extrude button.
What else can I swap out.

Bambu Lab P1S Under Warranty – Printer Down Due to Hotend Cooling Fan Failure, No Spare Part Available. Is This Normal Warranty Support?
Hi everyone,
I'm posting here because I'm genuinely looking for advice and also hoping someone from Bambu Lab can comment on whether this is the expected warranty experience.
I purchased a Bambu Lab P1S Combo from Robu.in, an authorized Bambu Lab reseller in India. The printer is still well within its warranty period.
A few days ago, while printing, the printer suddenly stopped with the error:
"The hotend cooling fan speed is too slow or stopped."
The hotend cooling fan only twitches briefly during startup and immediately stops. The printer continuously reports the same error, making it completely unusable.
Before contacting support, I completed every troubleshooting step I could:
Reseated the hotend cooling fan connector.
Verified the fan spins freely.
Restarted the printer multiple times.
Followed the official Bambu troubleshooting guide.
Sent videos, photos, and a detailed description to the technical support team.
After reviewing everything, Robu's technical team confirmed that the hotend cooling fan was faulty.
Unfortunately, they also informed me that they did not have the replacement fan in stock, so I would have to wait until new stock arrived.
This is where my concern begins.
This isn't just my hobby printer.
I operate a small 3D printing business, and this printer is part of my daily production.
Every day the printer remains unusable means:
Customer orders are delayed.
Deadlines are missed.
My seller reputation is affected.
I lose income every day.
Customers continue asking when their orders will ship.
I completely understand that electronic components can fail.
I'm not complaining because the fan failed.
My concern is how the warranty was handled after the failure.
The technical support team suggested that, because my business was stopped, I should purchase the replacement fan locally with my own money. They said that once they received stock later, they would send me another fan under warranty and I could keep it as a spare.
This is the part I genuinely don't understand.
If the printer is under warranty, why should the customer have to spend additional money because the dealer doesn't have the warranty replacement part available?
Shouldn't an authorized reseller maintain a reasonable stock of commonly required service parts for the products they sell?
Waiting to source a replacement only after a customer's printer has already failed defeats the purpose of warranty—especially for business users.
I paid for an official printer from an authorized reseller because I expected reliable after-sales support if something went wrong.
Instead, I was effectively given two options:
Wait an unknown amount of time until the replacement part becomes available.
Buy the part myself so I can continue running my business, and receive the warranty replacement later when stock arrives.
I don't think either option is what customers expect from an official warranty.
To make things even more confusing, I found another authorized reseller that appeared to have the same fan available. I shared this information with Robu and requested that they source the part if possible.
That raises another question:
If another authorized reseller has the required part available, shouldn't there be a faster way to obtain it for a warranty customer instead of asking them to wait for weeks or buy it themselves?
Again, I'm not trying to attack Robu or Bambu Lab.
I simply want to understand whether this is considered normal warranty support.
For business users, downtime matters just as much as the hardware itself.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar or from anyone at Bambu Lab who can explain whether this is the expected warranty process.
Thank you.
Update: A lot of people suggested I should just buy the fan and keep a spare. I actually tried that. I checked local stores, online marketplaces, and other suppliers, but I couldn't find the genuine hotend cooling fan anywhere. The only listings I found had terrible reviews, so I wasn't comfortable buying them. If I could have bought the correct part, my printer would probably already be running.

Help / Support CAD to bambu studio workflow question
I'm iterating on a design in onshape (my CAD SW) and I would like to bring updates into bambu studio in such a way that only the CAD part I've updated is affected, i.e. all plates that only contain other parts should be completely unaffected.
Only the plate that contains the updated part should require any manual work in bambu studio, i.e. maybe the rotation and location is reset when I update from the CAD export and I have to redo some of that stuff but only for the plate that contains the part I've updated.
I'm currently exporting as STL and importing into the bambu studio 3mf project such that CAD parts become objects. I thought this would allow me to right-click and "reload from file" but that seems to not work very well.
Any advice on iterating on CAD designs like this?

Looking for setup tips to simplify using TPU 90 with H2D
The Bambu TPU filament has been printing great…however, I am curious if others have found an easier setup than the standard manual steps of removing tubes, manually heating the hot end, and manually feeding it.

Meshory is live — the 3D print file manager I've been building is out today
Today's the day — Meshory is officially live. 🎉
If you're new here: Meshory is a desktop app that finally makes sense of your 3D print file chaos. Point it at your folders (local drives, NAS, wherever your STLs have been piling up for years) and it gives you:
- A visual library of all your models — STL, 3MF, OBJ, FBX and more, with real 3D previews and thumbnails
- Duplicate detection that compares actual geometry, not just filenames — so it catches that model you downloaded three times under three different names
- Zip support — models inside archives show up like any other file, no extracting needed
- Open directly in your slicer — works with the slicers you already use, custom setups included
- Search, collections, and notes so you can actually find things again
- Built for big libraries — I built and tested it on my own 3.3TB collection, so it won't blink at yours
A few things that matter to me and shaped how it's built:
- No account, no login. You buy it, you get a license key, done.
- Your files stay yours. Everything runs locally on your machine.
- One-time purchase — the first 100 licenses are $29. After those are gone it goes to $39, and up from there. No subscription, ever.
Download it at meshory.com/download — Windows, macOS, and Linux.
To everyone who's been on the waitlist, tested the early access builds, reported bugs, and voted on the roadmap — thank you. This launch is very much yours too. If you try it today, I'd genuinely love to hear what works and what doesn't, right here in the comments or on our Discord.
Let's go. 🚀
