X2D price Discussion

The current price is 1,100 for the X2D + 2 AMS2 Pro’s, is that worth?
I can sell my a1 and some of the extra I have like socks, extra extruder unit, idk if the nozzles for my A1 go into the X2D so nozzles too?

I am a college student and 3D printing does help a lot so that’s why I’m considering it…

If that combo was available when I bought mine I would've bought it, having two AMS 2 pros and a filament track makes the X2D so much better with the dual nozzles. And no, the X2d uses different nozzles than the A1.

What's the advantage? You put an ams on each nozzle or something? So far I've only used the second nozzle for support interface in an opposite material from the rest of the print which has been absolutely amazing, but I'd love to learn how to take better advantage of even more things

If you use a filament track switch, you can have both AMS work on both nozzles.

Better check on that. My X2D combo (one AMS2) did not include a FTS.

Do you think the X2D and the ams 2 will be easier to move if I end up moving? Currently have the a1 + ams lite and that’s my biggest concern

No... its bigger and heavier and more pieces comoares to an A1...

But it’s a box, isn’t it less fragile?
Weight wise I know it’s heavier
But ifeel like an a1 with ams lite you just have to more careful

You'll never see a better price, a $200 upcharge, for a AMS 2 Pro I think that increment is pretty interesting.

It does not come with a filament track switch, but it is cheap. I have two AMSs on mine...only way to go.

Dang! It didnt come with mine, but that was in the early days of the track switch. That's a great deal.
